    My children came home with head lice for our Thanksgiving break. I took my family to the doctor and got a treatment to kill lice and even the nits, but with the schools 0 nit policy, I had to make sure every one of them was gone from my children before the Holiday break ended. My one daughter has long, thick, curly blonde hair and after tears and a lot of hair pulling, I called Picky Pam, or so I thought it was still under her. The website says 100% lice removal guarantee in under 2 hours and upon further reading on the same page, claims complete lice AND nit removal. I thought for sure they could do the job. I was reassured on the phone that they can remove the nits, no problem. We drove 1 1/2 hours for their help. These women were disappointed to find deal lice on my children’s heads, did a 15 minute scraping of their hair, leaving their hair ripped and my children crying. They charged us a ton of money, stating that there is no way they could possibly remove every nit and that we need to use their Picky Pam treatment system for 14 days. Upon arriving home I inspected my children’s sore heads to find a bunch of nits and dead lice still visible in their hair. This was not a situation where the nits were so numerous, I removed them at home in a couple of sessions. Picky Pam is under different ownership, their website, phone number and address listed is for that Mayfield location and they do not do what they guarantee online and over the phone. They sell a system, not the complete service that they promise!
