I purchased a used, 2017 Kia Soul from Ken Ganley Kia on September 4, 2021. During my test drive, the sales representative asked me unusual question. He asked my how the "brakes felt." I thought this was an unusual question, as I have bought many cars in the last 30 years and have never been asked this during a test drive. I didn't think anything of it at the time and purchased the vehicle, with a full warranty. I have owned the car for only two months. On 11/15/2021, I drove my Kia to Ken Ganley for an oil change with their service department. Upon conclusion of the service, the service representative gave me an orange, (already completed questionnaire) in an attempt to solicit a "perfect score" for service provided on an upcoming survey, so I could get my gas tank filled with fuel for free upon my next visit. (Unethical) The representative did not go over anything on the inspection report. He was more focused on the (already filled out) questionnaire. On 11/17, as I was filing my service paperwork away in my basement, I happened to glance down at the back of the inspection report that showed my front brakes and brake fluid had failed inspection at the time of service. I immediately thought back to my salesperson's "brake" question at the time of my test-drive. The dealership knew the brakes were bad at the time of sale. They knew they were bad at the time and conclusion of service on 11/15. I request the dealership complete the brake service free of charge, as they knew of the bad brakes and did not inform me at the time of sale, two months ago. I would have requested they repair the brake system at the time of sale, prior to purchase. That was dirty, and unethical.Business response
