I towed my 2020 ***** *** to this dealership on June 28th, 2024 after an accident. It has been a nightmare of a process ever since. They claimed they “lost” my car on their lot for two weeks, took two months to complete the repairs on my car, and proceeded to hold my car hostage until my insurance paid the last minute balance they charged (even though my insurance had paid the full balance of what was initially quoted). They knew I was having to pay out of pocket at that point for my rental car and didn’t release my car until I surprised them by showing up. When I picked my car up, there was a loud dragging noise that I was concerned about and when I brought this to their attention, they said “it was normal and would eventually go away as I drove the car.” This was completely false. A week and a half after I picked my car up, I was driving at 5mph through a parking lot and went over uneven pavement and a piece of sheet metal fell and was half hanging onto the bottom of my car. It was the metal that covers the oil valve beneath my car. I took it to another dealership to have them look at it and they found that all the work that was done by Columbia Acura was essentially jerryrigged and the car was deemed not safe to drive. It’s an additional $3,400 in damages because Columbia failed to do the job right the first time after having my car for TWO months and after being paid over $13,000 to repair the car fully. I called again to explain and they claimed they couldn’t get me in for another week to fix what they messed up because two of their service workers were going on vacation. Regardless, I refused to take my car back here after the hellacious experience I had already had, but wanted to make them aware of the insufficient work they had done. I would steer clear from this dealership if you want transparent and reliable work done.Review from Pete G

As a two time ******* owner , I would never buy another vehicle from this dealership. ******* is about affordable luxury and top of the line service. My experience with ******* of Montgomery service has been terrible. They should be embarrassed but they aren't. 4 months to replace an engine under warranty, almost zero communication and I'm still without my vehicle. They absolutely have never once answered my calls. They will probably reply with ** excuses about parts shortages and labor shortages. Here's a suggestion... hire managers that can hire people. To any prospective ******* of Montgomery clients, you've been warned. You're welcome.Review from Melissa S

Ive had my 2019 ******* ****** since 2020 and I have loyally been having all my maintenance done at Columbia ******* and now that I have issues that are covered under warranty. They are giving me the runaround theyll schedule an appointment and then tell me, I have to have something different. And want to charge me more. They lie to me they dont submit document paperwork like theyre supposed to. And they tell me there is a difference between dealership and corporation. Really? Told me also if I want the warranty to hold I need to go back to original dealer who purchased the car. They are now closed. What do you do with that? A Hyundai is a Hyundai. Shouldnt matter where you service it as long as you go to a dealership.Review from Hamdi M

They had my car for approximately one year. They made me spend extra money to try to get my car fixed that possibly couldve been avoided ,and then they made me pay for my service before they even done it which I feel thats discrimination., None of them is honest, all the staff in service along with their manager are not honest people,, customer service stopped responding to my messages, which is so unprofessional now that they dont wanna answer their phone and we gotta deal with them through messaging system, so after they took my money and decided not to fix the car, the guy I was dealing with stop respondingColumbia Hyundai- Genesis-Acura Response

Customer brought car in to have engine diagnosed and replaced under warranty extension for rod bearing failure, the vehicle did not have matching serial numbers, the ECU had been replaced at some point with used ECU, vehicle has never been here before and had no history of where he bought car and had miss matched VINs!!!!!Review from Donniell D

My check engine light come on and the car started to sputter. Got to Columbia Hyundai and them run diagnostic. Fuel injector/ spark plugs and 2 other issues. Decided to have it fixed elsewhere and not pay them $3000. When i went to pick up car it wouldn't start. Had it towed from Columbia Hyundai. Arrived at different shop informed it didn't start because they unplugged the ignition coil. Completely unethical and horrible customer service. I assume they thought I would have them do the service when it wouldn't start.Review from Rebecca W

I brought my car in because I was having issues with the engine. I described my issues to the employees here over the phone and in person. They sold me on about $1,000 worth of work saying it should fix my problem. 2 days after I got my car back, the problem not only came back but was worse. When I called to tell them they said they would have to reassess my car and if the error codes they previously got didn't match they would have to charge me for a full diagnostic again. When I responded and told them that it was unacceptable that they charge for fresh diagnostic and that I would have to wait a another month or so they stopped respondingColumbia Hyundai- Genesis-Acura Response

I have a new 2022 GV70. I use to take my car to the Hyundai dealer on ***** Rd; due to that location no longer having **************** I have to take my car to the *************** center on ******************************************************************. This place is a joke. The only other location is approx. 2 hours away in ******** **. It took me almost 2 weeks to get an appointment (I call every other day, left sever message with the receptionist and still no return call). When I was transferred to the service center, no one ever picked up the phone, hence I had to leave a message with the receptionist. So to get my scheduled appointment, I had to physically visit the facility. I had my appointment on Saturday, 8/13. They were to change my oil, rotate my tires and an all point inspection. I can only assume they completed the tasks. I did not get a new sticker on my window (the reminder oil change/mileage sticker was there), on Monday, the light for my windshield fluid came on. I thought they top off your fluids when completing an oil change. This is a 2022 vehicle. I've had nothing but trouble with the service centers since I purchased the vehicle. I wish I had another facility closer to visit. You would think because of where the service center is located (**********), it would be a suitable place.Columbia Hyundai- Genesis-Acura Response

Thank you for the feedback, I apologize for the lack of follow up from the service ***** the remodel has everybody displaced and has become an issue, please in the future if the receptionist can not get you to service because they are all busy please ask her to give it to the service director and he will get back to you.
