On April 10, 2019, the Ohio Attorney General’s Office filed a civil lawsuit in Knox County Common Pleas Court against defendants used car dealership Ross Premier Motors, LLC that was located at 219 Harcourt Rd. in Mount Vernon, Ohio, and its owner Zachary Ross individually, accusing them of failing to deliver vehicle titles to Central Ohio customers. According to the state, consumers filed 51 complaints with the Attorney General’s Office, and while Ross claimed he could get the money to resolve the complaints, he only did so in a few cases.
The state is asking the court to impose a $25,000 civil penalty for each unfair or deceptive act alleged in the complaint, order reimbursement to consumers found to have been damaged, and order reimbursement to the Title Defect Recision Fund. The state is also that the court prohibit Ross from applying for or being granted a salesperson or auto dealer license.
The matter is pending.
