Northfield colision took in my vehicle after its first accident, They performed a Frankenstein like repair. The low quality paint they used does not match or blend, tons of contaminant in the clear coat.. they introduced overspray and tape lines to other areas on my cars paint that were untouched before. they heat lamp cured the cheap paint which left ridiculous orange peel and they never wet sanded and polished my paint to a matching shine the repair area sticks out like a sore thumb. This is only where the quality of repair issue begins. The alignment was never done BEFORE starting the repair on their end and the car doesn’t drive straight still even after they have, this is because the frame is bent on the car and thus totaling the car because it will NEVER return to pre accident condition where it will drive in a straight line. additionally all 4 wheels and tires were damaged in the accident and northfield denies that the damage could have occurred and must have been previously there, IMPOSSIBLE when i had these NEW tires for less than 5 months. Having proven this to be the case the shop denied any damages were related to the accident and ignored me when i proved the car was previously LIKE NEW. The shop has refused to help me over the last 6 months when i have fought insurance left and right due to the shop LYING about the vehicles condition to protect themselfs. their own policy themselfs states that they should not repair a totaled vehicle. yet they did!

      Business Response

      Date: 11/21/2022

In Response to statements made in complaint. The Car fax on this vehicle shows that this was not the first accident. Carfax shows 3 claims to this date. The paint we use is from BASF, one of the top chemical companies in the world. Paint is not cured by a lamp but in a paint booth that cures with heat and circulating air.

Attached you will find the invoice from Mr. Tire that the Alignment was completed. The insurance company did however only pay for a two wheel alignment not a four wheel alignment, which is normal in the industry because the right front wheel only took the impact. Vehicle was not deemed a total loss by the Insurance company.

Customer did come back with concerns about the orange peel and fender liner clips and did not like the used headlight that was approved by his insurance company.  We contacted his insurance company about the headlight and they agreed they would replace it with a new one. We ordered the new head light and fender liner clips and told the customer we would sand and buff the panels again to get the orange peel to his liking. Customer would not set up a time to get this done because he was working with the insurance company to get other items covered on his claim as well. These items we did not have to give our opinion on because the insurance company did not see how it would be part of this claim. We unfortunately cannot repair whatever someone wants when no one is agreeing to pay for it.
After some time went by as customer was working with the insurance to get other items added the customer left a negative review on google, which he has the right to do so because he was a customer here. Then all within 3min to 10 min apart seven other one star reviews coming from him in different names or having friends do so for him. Because of the slander and defamation of the fake reviews, the insurance company and our company thought it would be best if he went to a different body shop and we would pay that shop to buff the orange peel and replace the fender liner clips and the insurance company would cover putting the new headlight in.
