- Advertising Review:
On December 12, 2022, BBB contacted Shambaugh Cleaning & Water Restoration LLC about its "Satisfaction Guaranteed" claim on its website and other social media.
According to the BBB Code of Advertising, advertisers should only use “satisfaction guarantee,” “money back guarantee,” “free trial offer,” or similar representations in advertising if the seller or manufacturer refunds the full purchase price of the advertised product or service at the consumer's request. When “satisfaction guarantee” or similar representations are used in advertising, any material limitations or conditions that apply to the guarantee must be clearly and conspicuously disclosed.
The business responded on 1/31/2023 and stated, "Although our advertising is legal, Shambaugh Restoration has read the BBB code of advertising and agrees to revise our advertising over the next 90 days. There will be some form of “we strive for” or “Our goal is” within the new campaign."
