    This business owners sends out a postcard to regular customers offering a one-time per month 10% discount for a purchase over $50. On my most recent visit, as I was making my $50+ purchase, I overheard the owner instructing the cashier to only give me a 7% discount because I was using a credit card. I questioned this, as the postcard clearly states a 10% discount, with no mention of a reduced discount due to the credit card. The owner, who knows me by name, told me I was being ridiculous and petty. He refused to change the discount amount and ran my credit card for the purchase less only 7%. As I continued to question the legality of his decision, he threw a $1.00 bill at me and told me that should cover it. He also told me that I would qualify next month as long as I paid with cash or a check. After being treated so rudely, I looked back in my records and discovered that I had been "shorted" on the discount in previous purchases as well. I had not noticed it because I trusted the business owner would abide by the offer he regularly presented. I did notice however, as it was tossed into the recycle bin. that the new postcards now state the owner's true discount policy. I will no longer patronize a business whose owner doesn't respect his regular customers or honor his own promotions.
