DOS 6/1/22 amount $1782.45 I took my 1977 Corvette to AAA to have work done. They did not properly complete the services hired to do. After speaking to the regional manager, *** ******, he had me take my car to another one of his shops that he said was better equipped to fix the problems. At the second shop, the problems were not fixed, only made worse and also put a 4 inch deep scratch on the front of my car. The second shop also double charged me for things that the first shop had already charged me for. When attempting to leave the second shop, they released the car to me and it was riding on the inside of the driver side rear tire. The second shop released the car to me with the car leaking fuel due to the improper instillation of the fuel lines next to the exhaust which was leaking fuel on the exhaust. When speaking to *** ****** again to try to rectify the problems, i was rudely told he is tired of dealing with this. I finally got the problem fixed at a new shop. I would settle this matter for atleast half of my money refunded to me plus the cost of having to have the problems they caused redone in the amount of $350.

    Business response

The business informed BBB that the consumer brought in a 1977 Corvette to one of its shops.  The car was old with numerous problems, including flaking paint.  The shops did some work on the vehicle, but the consumer was not happy.

The consumer brought the car to a second shop, which did more work on it.  The shop addressed a number of the issues with the vehicle.  It provided the consumer an extensive list of more things which needed to be addressed on the car.  The consumer was not pleased that the business did not address all the concerns.  Upon picking up the vehicle, the consumer also alleged that the business had caused a new scratch down below the work that was done.

The consumer has tried to take the vehicle a yet another of the business' shops.

The business feels it has gone above and beyond to assist the consumer.  It does not feel that a refund is due the consumer and considers the matter closed.

I regret the conclusion because the district manager is the one who sent me to his second shop to get the work done on my car that the first shop messed up on only to have the second shop to make things even worse. They installed the fuel pump incorrectly and left it leaking on my exhaust, which could have cause my car to catch on fire. They also double charged me. They also said my car was safe to drive and when I left in it, I was driving with the driver side rear tire riding on the inside of the tire and only made it couple blocks before having to return to the shop. I believe they should have to take responsibility and return my money. I plan on taking them to small claims court if this is not resolved thru the BBB.
