    I dropped my shearling coat the beginning of January to be cleaned. I received numerous calls from the dry cleaners, saying boiler was broken at the place where coats are sent & my coat would be delayed. I inquired about cost because the man had given me a ticket w’ $0 cost. He said he didn’t know. When I went to pick up my coat, it still had visible dog slobber on it. I asked the man who referred to his wife, ****. She was not in the shop. He tried reaching her by phone on the 3rd or 4th attempt she answered but did not have time to speak to me about the coat. I told the man I will pay my bill & go at which time he said it would be $120. I was shocked at the cost considering the coat did not appear to be cleaned only 4 new buttons sewn on. I took the coat & left. A few hours later I was contacted by the local PD. He said **** was going to press the thief charges if I didn’t pay the bill. The bill suddenly jumped to $145, which I paid with my credit card. My coat was never cleaned. I would like to be credited for the cleaning. I will gladly pay for the 4 buttons sewn on.

    Good afternoon! 
    A customer brought a suede coat with shearling liner to our dry cleaners. This type of clothing requires a special leather dry clean only. We provide this service but this kind of cleaning is done by a specific leather dry cleaning company called Sun Shine, which is located in Kentucky. They’ve done service for surrounding states, including Ohio, for many years. 
    At the time when they had the customer’s coat, they had a problem with their boiler which caused a delay for everything. When we take any leather items we can’t price them ourselves and can only use the price that *** ***** gives when the item comes back. The customer’s coat was pretty old with many stains and a couple spots that were worn out. I tell all my customers that we can’t guarantee for stains to come out. There is a lot of criteria: the age of the item, the nature of the stains, how deep it is into the fabric, how the item was stored, if it was cleaned the appropriate way….in this case we propose customers to clean it over again with no charge. With leather cleaning the company uses a different cleaning method for the second time. This was offered to the customer but she declined it . The price was further established when we got the coat back. It included $120 for the cleaning itself, which was priced by the company, sewing on four new buttons for $16.00, and the sales tax was $9.18. So the total price was $145.18. This was the only price and had never been changed.
    When she came to pick up the coat I wasn’t at the store but my husband was. I had a doctor appointment so I wasn’t able to talk when he had called me. After arguing with him, she just grabbed the coat and left without paying...After I got to the store we called the police and they forced her to pay for the service.
    We will be glad to resolve the issue by providing a second dry cleaning process with no charge. The customer can contact us at any time (working hours) .
