took my truck in on the tailgatefor paintless dent repair I was told it was done I noticed some small ping dentsthey called fish eyes in the tailgate I told them they were not there before they claim they didn't do it and it was there before I told them it was not then I asked them to look on the pictures from the estimate to see if they were there before they got very offended from that they said the truck was too dirty from the pictures and it was unable to see if they were there or not then they said they would refund my money ($337)an agreement that I did not go back I'm going to have to go elsewhere to have this repairedest.$700

Mr. C****** was quoted a price to fix a dent and we did that repair and charged the customer. The customer then stated that we caused damage to his vehicle - the spots on his vehicle were from a previous poorly completed paint job. Our technician and owner went over these details with the customer and explained there was nothing that we could have done to cause these fish eyes in his paint. Customer stated they purchased the truck new and has never been painted. However keep in mind vehicles do get damaged when delivered to dealerships and are painted before they even hit the lot. So to say it was never painted is a statement that cannot be verified. We did not paint this tailgate it was paintless dent removal and buffing. Buffing does not cause what the customers complaint is. Yes the pictures that were taken at the time of the estimate were very spotted up from water drops and/or dirt. Customer still believed we caused this damage and we simply told him if he were unhappy we would just refund their money (so he got a Free repair) and since he was unhappy that he didn't have to return in the future. Please also note we had to pay sublet labor to a paintless dent company to fix the dent. So we still had to pay the dent company even though we refunded the money. Please also note the Professional paintless dent company we use pointed these flaws out before the work was even started.

I don't understand what that comment is supposed to have met I bought the truck brand new off the lot when I was buying it nothing like that was on that tailgate and nothing like that was on any part of the truck from the tailgate I don't know what they mean delivered to dealerships and painted before they even hit the lot I bought this straight off lot there was nothing like that on there when I bought it and there was never a paint job on that tailgate all I can say is those fish eyes were not on the tailgate before I brought it to them and even though they claim I did get a free paintless dent repair job which was only $337 it's going to cost me almost double that to have this repaired

Buffing does not cause what the customers complaint is.

As I stated the tailgate was never painted after the truck was bought and they said in their statement that that's something that can't be verified these two comments above are also something that can't be verified

The best resolution for Mr. C****** would be to take this truck to any body shop including this one and have them use a MIL gauge on the gate paint work. The thickness that will be measured will show that the gate being previously painted which in turn has caused his fish eye problem. Mr. C****** is welcome to stop by and a technician will be happy to supply him with the measurement details.

I will have that done however I'm going to have it done at a different body shop I will provide the results at a later time
