Want to let others know that I was told if you cancel your reservation within 30 days of the stay, they keep the deposit—which in my case was one night’s payment of $328.43. But they also said “the policy is different for each reservation” —I have that in writing—- so….doesn’t seem quite reputable to me. We had to cancel 2 weeks ahead of time due to flight changes, so they refused to refund any money. I’m sure with two weeks notice that they will book my room for someone else, so they will be getting paid twice for the same room. Just beware. I’d hate for anyone else to lose so much money.

“0” rating Spa charges if you don’t show for a spa or cancel in 24hrs, I get it, understood. However they forced a charge on an appt. ****** ** kalahari spa stated, I did not make another appt 2 days after having a facial spa treatment. ****** states the client that had the massage made the appt. I argued why would ****** charged my card. This is fraud.

Well at seventy five dollars ahead for both adults and children you should get a freaking towel.! But no....if you're not a guest, no towel inside you have to go back out and buy one!!! We had just been at Great Wolf where the provide towels. So we never thought to bring one. And it's NOT 84 Degrees inside, not even close everyone yesterday was freezing including my children. When I asked about the staff found it amusing that we were cold. Not helpful. The entire resort is cashless also which I'm not crazy about.

Thinking of going here for Spring Break? DON'T!! My daughter developed a rash in the early evening of day 2. They gave her some capsule Benadryl (we had to go out and buy chewable tablets - she's 7). I bathed her and put her to bed. The next morning she seemed better, so we went out to the park for our last day. By 4pm her entire jaw began to swell (she couldn't eat), she had horrible hot rashes on her face, knees, thighs, and back (with 12 inch raised welts). we rushed home to Cleveland and took her to Rainbow Babies ER where she was diagnosed with cellulitis and put on antibiotics. She remained very sick for days, missed the Daddy Daughter Dance at her school and basketball. Another little girl who was with us also developed a nasty rash on her face, but it did not devolve into cellulitis. I called the Erie Cty. health department. They went out and read the water safety logs. There were tubs and pools whose numbers were off. They have an automated system that supposedly monitors water quality; well apparently they were not properly functioning. We went Monday- Wednesday to avoid crowds and filthy water, but obviously Kalahari takes their down time seriously and couldn't be bothered to ensure the safety of their guests. Also, they offered absolutely NO accommodation for this horrible experience. Didn't even bother to call me back like they said they would after our first conversation, even though I had huge effort to be polite. DONE with them. DON'T GO! There are plenty of other places in the area that take the welfare of their invited guests (paying exorbitant sums) seriously.

We brought my daughter here for her 15th birthday BUT went home with bed bugs. We had a great time while there. I got bit while in the room and the bite turned red about 6 inches around the bite. I had never had a reaction like this. When we were getting ready for bed we pulled back the covers and saw what looked like crumbs in the bed. The staff came up and changed the sheets. We thought it was strange how they started looking under the bed and around it. We had no experience with bed bugs so didn’t think much about it. We ended up having to pay 3400 to treat our home. It was a nightmare. I wish I would have took seriously the reviews from others saying that their room had bed bugs.

We take these matters very seriously, & we wouldn't want you to have any concerns about visiting us. Bed bugs can & have been found in many places, such as movie theaters & even hospitals, it's not being unclean that brings them, unfortunately they travel via people. All members of our team are trained in identifying and correcting these rare situations. We do take one of the most aggressive approaches to identification & treatment in the industry. I want to ensure our team follows up with you, would you kindly email [email protected], include your reservation #, email address & phone # . Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at Kalahari from 12/11/2022 to 12/13/2022! We try to bring our 2 children each year around Christmas as part of their present. We have never had any problems with cleanliness of our rooms, they've always been clean and well stocked with towels. Bed linens have always been nice and white. This year we met a very nice man, *****, that actually took time to talk to us and tell us about the new pool for the outside park. He even took the time to give us a tour of the laundry area and how everything gets done and the area with all the pump, filters and heaters. So the kids even learned something new while we were here! All workers from the cleaners to lifeguards and ***** were all friendly and made us feel welcome. Thank you all so much and a special THANK YOU to *****! Have a very Merry Christmas and what you did for us means more than you will ever know! Thanks again for a great stay!

Checked in at 11 am rooms was not ready. Myself and my other party literally checked in minutes apart purchasing same type of room alerting front desk know we want to be close to each other. My friend room was ready at 1. My room still wasn't ready 1 hr later still not ready. 1 hr 30 minutes later I get a text room room ready. I get to the room only to find out room not ready. Livid! I ask for a supervisor named Mike he was non chalant and dry. He apologized stated it will be another 45 minutes because the room I want which was next to my friend room whose room was clean at 1pm. I asked supervisor how is the room next door not clean this is not making any freaking since. It's now almost 4pm and still no f#%%ing room. I bought a cabana had I known this was going tobe like this I would have saved my money! They didn't offer a part refund or anything! Just damn upsetting!
