5 starsLuxury Heating provides top quality furnace/AC units. They are professional and reliable. I use the same service tech (Sal) for my annual furnace & AC cleaning and inspection. Sal is friendly, does a thorough job, and is dependable. If you are in need of a new furnace or AC unit, or have issues with any existing units, I highly recommend Luxury Heating.Review fromScott R

Luxury installed my system in 2008. It has worked fairly well since. No technical problems there! During a yearly maintenance visit in 2020 the tech replaced my thermostat and connected my system to the Internet. My daughter was working from home that year, but she was never called, notified or consulted about the change that they were making. No permission was asked to make the change. The old thermostat was working very well, and I was VERY PLEASED with its features, easy to program and to make changes if needed. The new thermostat is much more cumbersome to operate. I DO NOT WANT my system on WiFi or internet. The new thermostat, being smaller, has left the old wall paper visible with a very bad esthetic result in my dining room. Today for the yearly service, Jeremy came. I had bought a new thermostat no-WiFi to replace the one that I DID NOT ASK TO INSTALL, I WAS NOT ASKED FOR PERMISSION AT THE TIME OF THE INSTALLMENT, AND I NEVER LIKED. When he opened the thermostat commented on the unusual number of wires that he had to re-connect. Generally 5, there were 9 wires, two of them were related to the internet connection installed 2 years ago. The manager, Wayne, contacted on the phone by Jeremy, told me that my system cannot operate with a non WiFi thermostat, and it could not be replaced. His notes on file reported that my thermostat was defective= ABSOLUTELY NON TRUE!! So, how did my system work from 2008 through 2020 with a "regular" thermostat ? (that I REALLY liked!) Why was my system connected to the Internet without my permission AND approval in 2020? Why the connection NOW CANNOT BE UNDONE? The thermostat HAS TO "comply" with the new feature? WHO IS RUNNING MY HOUSE? I FEEL COMPLETELY ABUSED BY THIS TEAM THIS IS TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL. Both Jeremy and Mr. Wayne know that I have recorded our phone call. I have proof read my complaint and there are no mistakes. it seems that the negative reviews are always full of mistakes. Hopefully no mine!Luxury Heating Company

Please allow me to apologize for any frustration and/or confusion that this may have created for you. I reviewed the past few service calls with my Service Manager (Wayne) and the technicians that have worked on your system. Your heating and cooling system is a dual fuel system. A dual fuel heating system is a hybrid system made up of both an electric heat pump and a natural gas furnace. The system alternates between using each of the two devices, depending on the season, temperature and the function needed, to maximize efficiency and effectively heat and cool your home. The heat pump in the system works like a central air conditioner in the summer months by transferring hot air out of your home until your thermostat reads your desired temperature. The heat pump also does the majority of the work in the fall and spring months by providing cost-efficient heat during milder temperatures. The natural gas furnace takes over and works to heat your entire home when the temperature takes a dip during the cold, winter months. When our technician serviced the system in 2020, he found that the thermostat was malfunctioning. There are certain thermostats that are compatible with dual fuel systems, but most are not. The only dual fuel compatible thermostat that our tech had on his van and installed did have Wi-Fi connectivity, but we don’t have any ability to see or connect to your thermostat. It just has the option for you to connect your thermostat to your home’s Wi-Fi if you would like to control it remotely, but this is a function that requires you to activate. The technician did not want to leave you without a functional system, which is why he used the only dual fuel compatible thermostat he had with him. In retrospect, he could have paused the service call to try and reach you in order to provide you with the thermostat options available to order from one of our distributors. On November 2nd, 2022, I emailed you with the dual fuel compatible thermostat options we install, and offered for Wayne to return and replace the current thermostat with whichever model you prefer at no cost to you. I haven’t received a response to that email, so if you did not receive it, please email or call me at the office so that we may provide you with the level of service you deserve.C. L.

I have appreciated the detailed reply and the time dedicated to it. However, I have not received the e-mail. Since Jeremy was at my house, the thermostat is giving me an ERROR (178) for the outdoor temperature sensor, but I have not felt OK to call the company, (even though it came up after the technician left). I will be happy to accept the offer to resolve the problem. I need guidance to purchase the appropriate thermostat without WiFi connectivity. I saw a very large selection at *********, that is why I need directions. I can get in touch with the office to discuss the matter further.Review fromAaron B

We had a contract to install the HVAC in a spec home for a builder. Our contract was with the builder, not Mr. ******. After Mr. ****** purchased the home, he expressed an extensive list of items in the home he did not like, a number of them related to the HVAC. As such, we dispatched our service technicians, service manager, general manager and owner to the home on over 6 occasions to address his concerns, none of which satisfied Mr. ******. As a result, we met with the builder and the Carrier Field Service Representative in order to perform a thorough diagnosis to verify that the equipment was installed and operating according to Carrier's manufacturer specs, as well as local and national code. The Carrier FSR verified that the system was in fact installed and operating at or above manufacturer spec and code. Shortly thereafter, the builder reached an agreement with Mr. ****** to void the builder's one-year limited warranty that applied to this house, relieving us and a number of other sub-contractors from performing any future service at this property. This was a result of numerous verified and qualified parties confirming that our work was installed properly. Although home was not built for Mr. ******, and the HVAC was not designed for Mr. ******, he wanted our company to complete various alterations to the system in order to meet his expectations. And while we did complete some of the alterations at his request without Mr. ****** paying for them, we weren't required to do so, as our contract was with the builder. From the initial phone call requesting service and each subsequent phone call, Mr. ****** has been extremely contentious and at times vulgar with our CSR's, putting our CSR's in an anxious and uncomfortable position. He was also verbally abusive to our technician(s) on site when they were there to diagnose any issues that Mr. ****** claimed were occurring. When the builder came to the agreement with Mr. ****** to void the warranty and released us from any and all obligation to perform service work at this property, we informed him that we would no longer dispatch any of our employees to his home. His manufacturer warranty, which we registered for him as a courtesy, does not require us to perform service or warranty work on his system. It is stated that any Carrier dealer may perform service and/or warranty work on his system, which I explained to Mr. ******. In short, our work was inspected and approved by the local building department. Our work was completed and approved by the builder. And our work was inspected, tested and approved by Carrier. We have no contractual obligation to perform any service or warranty work for Mr. ******, and it has been proven that we have not displayed any negligence at any point throughout or after the installation of the HVAC system.
