The company came into my home to diagnose and service my boiler. Upon arrival the boiler worked it came on meaning it was burning. The only complaint was the temperature didn’t go above 64degrees and a small leak. The repair person on the first day turned off the burner and could not restart it. He proceeded to take down wires which keep the system going. He was confused and admitted he wasn’t experienced with boilers. He left after that with wires taken down hanging and the cover off the side box. I emailed with my concerns due to being overcharged for items and destruction of the boiler. I asked to have someone come out the next day and put everything back together. They sent a tech guy out however he cleaned the glass kit only did not put wires back in the correct places or covering. He was frustrated and wondered why he had to come back and fix someone else’s mess. They come in the late evening and are tired it was lots of confusion. After wards it was done! Wires hanging and now I have no heat versus the 64 degrees when it was working. The new company came to give me a price and shared that in addition to leaving wires things was still running underneath it wasn’t turned off. Now I’ve been given an estimate of up to 900.00 plus service fee of 300.00 an hour to re-wire my boiler. I’m going to need reimbursement to cover fees or my boiler wired back the way it should have been.

    Business response

    11/26/2024

In spring of 2024, we recommended maintenance and several repairs to this boiler.  All recommended repairs were declined.  Our technician was frustrated due to the condition of the boiler, lack of maintenance and not operating properly.  There were so many issues with this boiler, we had 2 plus hours in time and customer refused to pay and more time was needed for a proper repair/diagnoses.  We were trying our best to help a dire situation.  Sight glass and boiler were dirty, there were several leaks and trying to determine all of the issues was nearly impossible in time frame and knowing the financial limitations for our time.  We only charged for 30 minutes; we have a total of 4 hours in it, and more time was still necessary.  We re-quoted recommended repairs which were once again denied.  We wish the best of luck to *** **** and are very sorry for the situation.
