      I went to James Flooring on May18/22. I bought a house in April of same year. I ordered carpet and vinyl from this place, told them I didn’t know when I would have it installed,******* said that’s ok, just call when you are ready. I asked ******* if it was special order, he said no, it’s in stock, both vinyl and carpet. I had a lot of work to be done on the house. Very long story short, I kept finding things wrong with the house, it would be too much money for me to do it. So put the house up for sale it took quite a while to sell it. Went to James Flooring on January 16th to ask for the $5,000.00 down I had to give him . He refused to give me any of my money back, called me ridiculous, said the carpet was special order, it was not, in general was treated very rude, plus was insulted! I told him he could sell that carpet, he wouldn’t be out anything. He absolutely refused to even listen or deal with me! I am going to also take my receipt to my attorney, and see what can be done about this unethical way to do business!! I told him when I left the store I was going to take it to my attorney, he threw his hands up said go ahead!! Arrogant!

      We ordered special order carpet and sheet vinyl for Ms.******** in May. It is noted on the attached invoice that it is order carpet and order vinyl. The material has been in our warehouse for 6 months. We only received $5000 for a down payment and the total of the special order materials is $7122.61. Ms. ******** can use the materials in whatever house she resides in now after paying for the materials but we cannot return them to the manufacturer because it has been too long after they were received. Ms. ******** came into the store earlier this month and after the normal pleasantries she became irate when she didn't receive the answer she wanted. I listened to her situation and advised her under no circumstances can we return the carpet or vinyl to the mill so we will not refund any money. I sincerely hope Ms. ******** contacts her attorney so that they can advise her to take the carpet and vinyl she asked us to special order for her and that it is unreasonable to expect otherwise.

      I am rejecting this response because:
      James Flooring is not telling the truth, he told me the carpet and vinyl were in stock! All I asked for was to be treated fairly, ******* was very rude and arrogant towards me! I have a witness to the way he treated me, she said she would testify as to his rude, disrespectful way he treated me. No way was this order a special order! I asked him where on the recipe it states special order, and he pointed to the word carpet!! Honestly!! How disappointing they choose to not be honest! I am taking this to my attorney.

      1. The contract was for 3 days and the workers took 13 days to complete this is a big violation of our contract. From day one the first worker showed up whenever and only worked 5 hours and then left. When the 2nd worker started coming he worked really good and was a steady worker but they still left early. 1st day only thing completed was the removal of carpet - this slow pace continued until the finish. 2. The mess that was created by all of the dust was not cleaned up during or after the job was completed. Two times our smoke detector kept going off due to the amount of dust resulting in the arrival of the fire department resulting in the smoke detector being changed. 3. Our other carpet in the house was soiled by the dirt being tracked through our home because of no shoe coverings or plastic placed on the carpet. 4. Damaged the door jams by removing the screws and hardware instead of the pins being removed. 5. The pieces placed in the thresholds need to be fixed to my liking still waiting on the phone call for the appointment to be set. 6. After job was finished??? (still not) we went to James Flooring to discuss the problems we encountered and the "OWNER" was very rude and did not want to discuss anything and proceeded to inform me that my carpet smelled like urine and had stains all over it but nothing was said to me, and also that my home smelled like urine. All we wanted to do was to discuss the issues we had but instead he became very closed minded and told me to GET AN ATTORNEY he did not want to discuss anything. See Attached
