    We purchased a brand new refrigerator/freezer on April 11,2023. We also purchased all of the warranties that were recommended to us. On August 16th, I contacted Appliance Center because the refrigerator was not staying cold. I was told to contact GE (the manufacturer). GE will not have a repair appointment until Aug 23. I called Appliance Center a second time and was told that they could not help me because they only have 2 technicians and that was the soonest appointment. We were told when we purchased the appliance and paid for the warranty that we would have peace of mind and do not have to worry about repairs.

    Our records indicate the customer called in for service on their GE refrigerator on August 15, 2023 and GE factory service was available to service the unit under GE's warranty on 08/23/2023.  It is unfortunate that this is the busy season for all servicers and service delays are across industry are prevalent. However, service has been provided as per the terms of the product's warranty.  The good new is that any work that needs performed will be covered under the consumer's GE warranty and should food loss occur the extended warranty they purchased will cover the financial loss for the consumer as well.  

    As always, we thank the BBB for the opportunity to respond to the consumer's concerns regarding their purchase.  Should the BBB need any additional documentation please let us know.  At this time the manufacture has honored the product's warranty and we hope the consumer's concerns with the unit have been resolved.
