Most horrible company EVER! I tried to get a resolution by calling the company to a fraudulent estimate that was made by saying I had oil leaking from the machine which wasn't true! and the gear shift was broken which also wasn't true. charge me $128.00 dollars and before they came my machine was working but not spinning out all the water on my clothing, however after they left my washer WASN'T working at all! I spoke with several people who said they would all me back and never did, and finally I spoke with a lady that had to be the MOST RUDE person ever and told me we did a service call and your machine wouldn't be working anyhow! WHAT, you mean I called you out to fix just the spin out portion and now I have a machine that doesn't work at all, and per the rude person well either you want a service call/parts that would cost $900 dollars or we can't help you. WOW, this is how you treat your customers and she was so nasty on the phone. I'm a manager for ProMedica and I would never have my team members talk to a patient like this, how would she like this customer service on her end... I think not! I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone, please don't do it, you definitely will regret it. the tech lied about the washer and didn't even bother to let me look at the OIL LEAK which didn't even exist. Wow ******! For starters, I'm fairly certain your washer was broken before you called us for service! You agreed to pay a service call that we quoted you at the time you asked for service, again for your broken machine. The service call covers the cost of our expenses including travel costs and a for a qualified factorized authorized technician to your home. We are a factory authorized service company for your brand if you need validity of our qualifications you may contact the manufacturer. ************** did find several issues including a major failure with the gearcase that made the cost of proper repair prohibitive. Unfortunately that is becoming a common failure with your model, we see it often. Sometimes repairs can cost more than the machine, then its time to replace them instead. I understand the frustration of having a major failure of an appliance, especially over the holidays, and still having to pay to get the bad news! That is something we all can relate to and can empathize with. You did claim that my office staff was rude to you. I found this difficult to believe as all of our people are trained well in customer service, and the person that you spoke to last is one of the kindest and most empathetic people I know. However, I did pull the recording of that conversation and took some time listening to your complaint and her responses. Your claim was that you wanted your money back because we did not fix the machine and "broke it worse". We did give you a quote for proper repairs with OEM parts and a full warranty, that you declined. This claim I believe is false, and also ridiculous as we did not "break it more" as your machine was already broken beyond economical repair. Our office was very direct and matter of fact when you demanded your money back as we did nothing wrong or unethical and only charged you for services actually rendered. If you felt that was rude I am sorry for the miscommunication it was not intended so.If we did somehow error in our diagnosis send us a work order for your second opinion for our consideration. As long as the second opinion is coming from another authorized factory servicer and can be documented we will look at it. Since you are in the medical field I am sure you realize that not everyone is perfect. We are a company that has been here over 30 years because when we do error we will make it right. Used them through my appliance insurance I had 2 washers. They never opened either up. BOTH had same thing wrong with them and deemed unfixable. One they told insurance one thing and the other something else and the insurance wouldnt cover the second one conveniently. So I could get a check for the 2nd one. We tried to contact you numerous times to get this straightened out. Either this is a huge miscommunication between you and your extended warranty company, or you are attempting fraud. .As I do not know which is true please contact me to get it resolved. I can send my service manager out to get this addressed. Yes you have coverage on two identical washers the same model. We serviced washer number one and found a major defect in the spinner supports resulting in the warranty company sending you a check. A MONTH we later you showed ************** the same washer to service as if it was the second machine. We know it was the same washer because we take a photo of the serial number tag before working on it, they were the same machine. Your warranty company believes that since they were the same machine, same serial number, exact identical catastrophic problem on 2 identical machines only 2 years old, that the second claim for the second washer is fraud and you were looking for another check.. Again, if this is a miscommunication we can work with you to get it resolved .As you have so far refused to contact us to get this resolved for you I am assuming the same for now, as that is all I have to work with. I am forwarding this review to both your former warranty company and also to my legal counsel as well as this could be slanderous. Is this an intentional attempt to damage our company for not assisting you with a possible scam? There is absolutely no benefit to us for denied claims. Wow what a company! One of our burners on a two year old stove top stopped working. Looked all over for help. Found **** Smiths online and thought I would give it a try. ***, asked a few questions and then found the part. He called back very soon and said to bring in the old burner. We have used Dave Smith Appliance for appliance repair for several years now, and have found their services to be excellent for several specific reasons: First, they always schedule service calls promptly and arrive on time; Second, they are honest and fair with respect to their prices and quotes. For example, today's range repair was completed at 10% under the quoted amount. Third, their technicians are highly skilled. Dylan did an outstanding job today with respect to replacing the faulty infinite switches on our range, and answered all of our questions accurately and professionally. Fourth, their communication is excellent. Barb in the office responds to all email inquiries promptly and accurately, and the owner Dave--though no longer active in day-to-day operations--still responds to communications. While I don't write many five star reviews, this one is well deserved.Dave Smith Appliance Services, LLC
