      My Chevy Equinox 2005 Ac needs to be fixed (leaking') ,the mechanic fixed it by changing Compressor but later cooling got bad, he advised me to go to Midas they have equipments that can figure out the problem. I was busy, my friend did the job around Aug 9, next day he told me to go to Midas, car was fixed with cost of $ 100. I did and paid to ******* $ 100 cash and left forgetting to get receipt, 2 days later cooling got worse, i went to Midas who told me there is no leakage but new compressor is blocked and has to be changed, I couldn't meet ******* to get the receipt claiming that he is busy so I went to another agency, ******** ******* ******, they told me that compressor is good and leakage is from condenser. Mechanic fixed it and Ac is doing well. I went to Midas asking my money back they refused and when I asked for a receipt they gave me an estimate which I was thinking a receipt telling me I am not allowed to get in this premises again, complaint to district manager failed. Customer declined so we reclaimed the Freon and did not charge the customer. Nothing more we can do here. When I went to take my car a person told me that they checked it and fixed the problem so cooling is doing well and if it will get worse later I should come back. I asked how much it costs he said one hundred dollars which I paid in one bill cash. 2 days later Cooling getting worse so I went to them, they checked my car on the spot and told me that there is no leakage but the compressor is blocked (bad and must be changed). Later after I have checked at ******** *** ******* ****** , it was clear that there was a leakage from condenser and compressor is good ( my car cooling system is running well till now after changing the condenser) . When I discovered that Midas failed to figure out the problem I asked them for my money back telling them that other agency saying that compressor is good. They said we don't care about other agency's opinion and we don't refund money back so I reminded them that I didn't get my receipt yet, so they gave me what I was thinking a receipt (an estimate) telling me that I am not allowed to enter this premises again. Points to consider : * What Midas cameras say ? It should show that I have paid the money to the guy or not. * Midas estimate dated at the end of all these events * Midas estimate printed Chevy 2010 but my car year model is 2005 ?! * it is noticed that when we have a detailed look at the contents (service done) of what Midas called an estimate Is it logic that what was done was without fees at all !!! * I have a witness who drove my car to Midas and they told him it will cost one hundred dollars when I will go to pick it up.       Repair not completed/done properly which resulted in damage to my vehicle. Brake line busted. Wheel not repaired/took vehicle to ******** to have same problem repaired (receipt attached from ********)

      Customer originally complained to Midas on 8/14 regarding his brake line bursting due to rust while we were replacing bearing. We gave customer an estimate to repair brake line and he refused wanting it for free. If there is an issue with the bearing we installed, the work is under warranty. Customer will need to return to location for us to inspect and replace accordingly. No refund will be given at this time.

      The consumer advised the BBB that his invoice from Midas on 8/6/2021 shows he paid for left & right front wheel bearings. Consumer states the left bearing was never replaced. He provided an invoice from ********** on 9/9/2021 showing left front hub bearing still needs replaced. He would like a refund.

      AGAIN, work is under warranty, if customer returns, we will replace the faulty bearing. If customer had somebody else replace the bearing, there is nothing more we can do. The warranty is not a money back guarantee.

      I called Midas & explained to them that my vehicle needed a battery, the brake lines checked & the AC charged. I also told them it had been sitting for months & I wanted to get it back running to take my Daycare Babies on field trips. They said I can have it towed, took my info & I had it towed that day. Almost 2 weeks passed & I hadn't heard from them so I called & was told they were short a tech & it needed to be pushed inside the bay. I was told that they would get to it in the next couple of days. I called back because nobody contacted me. I was told go call back so I can speak a manager. When I did I was told that the police came & had several vehicles towed because they don't want them parked there! I found out where it was towed & I has to pay approximately $176 to get it out of tow as well as another tow charge to get it from there. I want my money back! The police did not have it towed a tech from Idaho named ***** did saying it was abandoned! I did not Abandon my truck!

      I took my car for service at Midas. They determined I needed my alternator replaced. After having my car for nearly a week, I went to pick up my car and it would not start. They told me the alternator they just put in must of been faulty. They ordered yet another alternator. They had my car another 4 days. After picking up my car it drove ok for about a week. My car cut off in traffic almost causing a collision. When I called Midas, they told me to bring my car back in. Another week went by. I hadnt heard a single word. I call relentlessly, with no answer. I researched the number to midas corprate. 20 minutes after i got off the phone with corporate, the manager at Midas (*****) called me and told me to pick up my car, take it to Cadillac because they couldnt figure out the problem. So I did just that. Cadillac called me back the same day, and told me that it was a bad alternator in my car. I have sent countless email to corporate, including the receipt from cadillac, with no resolve.

Customer returned part earlier this week, manager tested part and found it to not be working properly. Customer went to location yesterday 8/25 and manager refunded customer the cost of the part. They had my car in multiple occasions and could not get the job done. This makes (2) faulty alternators that was out in my car. The Manager insisted that there was NO POSSIBLE WAY, the 2nd alternator was faulty. And yet (IT WAS). I do not feel as though I should be out of any money because they could not fix my car. Now I was forced to take my car elsewhere (AT THE REQUEST OF MIDAS) and be out of even more money! This is completely unacceptable. They had 3 opportunities to get the job done, and they failed at every measure. I'm expecting 100% of my money returned not just a portion! I had to pay to have my car towed several times to Midas because they couldn't get it right. Which cost me EVEN MOTE MONEY!! I'm frustrated beyond belief. This has been dragging on since April! I was refunded $396.81 for parts, but I was billed $459.98 (not including tax) for parts.. so that's not even a full refund of the part. I want my entire $862.00 that I paid! It's only fair. Not to mention, they would never call to update me about what was going on with my car or why it was taking so long Because I was missing work ( which caused me to loose money)...I called relentlessly, and they would not answer. They are just unprofessional ALL ACROSS THE BOARD!! I'm seeking 100% of my refund for various reasons. I asked on several occasions for the owner (***********) to call me, so we could find a resolve. he has not called me to-date. I wanted to inform him just how unprofessional ***** is, not just to me, but even watching his with the employees. He would scream at them, IN FRONT IF CUSTOMERS. I refuse to even go into the store because the store manager (*****) has made me feel so uncomfortable. I JUST WANT MY MONEY BACK SO THIS CAN ALL GO AWAY! If he'd rather meet in court to let the judge decide, I'm all for it!!! For customer satisfaction we agreed to refund for the part if customer returns the part. The charge for the alternator as itemized on the invoice was $369.99.       On 7/3/13 I went to Midas located at 230 Ohio River Blvd, Swickley PA 15143 I had breaks, rotors and 1 Caliber replaced on 8/11/21 I am driving down the road and my car started shaking and making a loud noise. I parked the car and had it towed it to Midas. Once there it was discovered that a bold backed out of the new caliber and destroyed my Wheel, they stated that it would be covered under their warranty and that they would take care of it. They put my spare on so that I could drive out that day and told me to return on the next day to have the rim and tire put back on my car (they had to order a new rim as mine was destroyed by the bolt) When I went in the next day 45 minutes later he pulls my car out and states that he changed the air pressure to 30psi per the mfg. This was a LIE PSI is 32 once I put all back to 32 PSI I still had check tire mont sys the guy who lied to me also did not change over my tire sensor (knowingly)

As i stated in my original complaint i do not wish to go back to that location the caliber they installed failed then they failed again when correcting the issues that caused. Their tech new he didn't put the sensor on and further went to cover it up by putting all of my tires at 30 psi setting off the 3 remaining sensors that my tires are low covering up the code for the missing sensors. Why should i go back to a location that has already has failed me..what assurances do i have that further work from this location cause further damage. The tech that preformed the rim change out and was working the front desk that afternoon lied to me and covered it up i have no faith left in this location please let me go to another location to get this resolved

      i ordered tires online from midas.com and when i called the shop to make sure they would honor the price on the estimate they said they would not honor that price. i just want the price on the estimates honored

      The first week of February I got an oil change and brakes done on my SUV. Not even a Mongh later on February 28-29th my engine and transmission exploded and almost wrecked my SUV driving 55 Miles an hour. Called AAA and they came hours later which we couldn't start the car and keep warm because it was freezing cold outside. AAA said there is no oil in the car that the plug wasn't in all the way and the oil light was disconnected which wasn't before I took the car in. I took it to a mechanic and they said the engine and transmission is shot and need a new one. Called Midas and they said they will fix it. Weeks later they called me back and said there is oil in the car and they are not fixing it. I ended up in the hospital the next day and was sick due to almost freezing to death. I was in the hospital for a week with pneumonia and got real sick. AAA showed us the oil stick and there was no oil on it. Midas put oil in it after I towed it there. They refuse to fix it.

The oil level is correct on the dipstick, oil cartridge cap is secured. There is an internal engine noise. I have tried to contact ******** today 3-5-20 at 9:58 to deny their claim and left a message to return my call back. I have also attached pictures of my findings. It was documented on the Ro#****** that the car came in with no oil showing on the dipstick and a excessive sludge built up on the oil cap which was reviewed with customer.

      When my break pedal went to the floor in my truck. I took it to Midas, the break specialist, for service on 4/10/2021, store location 4498 Salem Ave, Dayton, Ohio, 45416 (#612). They informed me I needed a new master break cylinder. I gave permission to fix it. Next day they said they replaced the master cylinder and I now have leaks on my break lines. The cost was about $1300.00. I gave permission to fix it. Now after $2180.00 worth of service I have another leak. They told me it was a hose below tubing they replaced. Frustrated with the quality of workmanship of the lines installed I wanted a second opinion. I took it to Pepboys and they showed me the area of the leak and said it was most likely an improper flare on tubing above the hose. Pepboys also noted the tubing should have been replaced with preformed tubing(kit) not tubing formed by hand which Midas did. I am disappointed with quality of workmanship and want the break lines' cost refunded so I can have redone correctly.

      scheduled regular oil change appointment, looked on midas website (www.midas.com) for any specials and/or coupons. found one that applied and saved to my phone. get to midas and they tell me they cannot use the coupon because i requested high mileage oil when the coupon clearly states high mileage is extra. spoke to ****** who later told me i could use it but it would need to be printed out. i get the printed out verson but then the manager ******* refused to take my coupon explaining he simply cannot use it. when i again showed him the fine print that states it should be an extra charge for high mileage he again refused the coupon and told me to call corporate which i did.
