DG Electric Tuesday morning, May 23, 2022, I had DG Electric come out to my house to give me an estimate on a light fixture. WHAT A MISTAKE! The first technician stated he didn’t know what to do because the fixture was do old so he called his supervisor. The supervisor came to check out the situation with another technician. They quickly told me it wasn’t worth fixing because the fixture was too old and not efficient. Then they asked me what did I want to do? Honestly, I thought they could fix it but I figured they were the experts. I told them I guess I will have to replace the light. They took the light apart to look at it and were talking about it. I walked away from the bathroom thinking they were putting it back together but they removed the light fixture and the two brand new bulbs I had bought just two weeks ago. They called me back to the bathroom and told me I need to get a new replacement light and they would be out to put it in for $200. I wasn’t ready to run out and get a light right that minute. The supervisor told me that he knew I didn’t want his people to be running all over town to get a light. I went to Lowes, Menards, and Home Depot then Gross Electric. The old light fixture was custom made and 29.5 inches which is not a common size. It left an ugly mark on the wall so I wanted a new light shaped similar length to cover the ugliness. With such short notice I could find anything. My daughter and I had been looking for about 2 hours and DG called me at 12:40pm to see if I found a light. They told me if I didn’t have a light by 1:30pm they couldn’t install it that day. I explained my dilemma and so many of the lights I liked were out of stock. I just didn’t want anything. I was also told I needed to pay cash or check because the truck the technician had couldn’t take a credit card payment. Nonetheless I don’t have a light in my bathroom. I was taken advantage of. They should have never took my light out without a replacement.
