    On May 4, 2023, I wrote a check #****, for $500.00 deposit to Lee ***** Painting to have my home painted. Mr. *** wrote in his contract to me no later then June 15, 2023. On June 14, 2023, I called to see if we were still on for the 15th so I would be at home to received him. The call went straight to voice mail. The next few days I tried several times, straight to voice mail. I drove over to ***'s home to see where we where at with the contract. His neighbor and brother both told me Mr ***** was missing. Later Mr ***** was found deceased. I then found another painter to paint my home. Around the first week or so of July I received a call from a lady saying her husband worked for Mr. ***** and was ready to paint my home. I informed her I had already hired another painter. The lady said she understood and would try and get my $500.00 deposit back. I have not heard from her since, and when I call *** *****'s phone number (419) ***-****, I receive a message saying we are not taking any calls at this time. If possible I would like to get my $500.00 deposit back since I am not the one who broke the contract.
