Owens Corning state their Platinum Preferred Contractors are a select group of an elite roofing professionals and must pass a workmanship inspection to assure they do quality work. They fail to finish the job or pass inspection. My ************* want the reroof work done by the Contractor torn off and redone. My home sustained over ******* in damages after the entire roof was installed wrong. Furthermore, the ** roofing material sold was not compatible with my roofs deck according to **s Instructions and Technical Bulletins. ** were provided my receipt from their Contractor for the ************************** Warranty showing it was registered and paid by the Contractor. Its now been over 3 years since I filed a claim in 2021 and Im still waiting on an answer regarding the extended warranty. What is truly upsetting is Owens Corning still feels this Contractor is worthy to be one of their Elite Roofing Professionals and remains on their list of Approved Contractors.Unfortunately, we live in a time that the Big Corporations are protected, even though there's so many different agencies that claim they'll help nothing comes from it . VERY DISSATISFIED

Hello - contractors listed on the Owens Corning website are independent contractors and not affiliates of Owens Corning Roofing and Asphalt, LLC or any of its affiliates (collectively, "Owens Corning"). The decision to hire any contractor listed on this site is a deciiosn made solely by the homeowner. Owens Corning does not guarantee the quality of work performed by any contractor. The current warranty you hold is a Standard Product warranty that protects you from any manufacturing defect. The Extended Warranty is required to be registered and paid for by the Platinum/Platinum Preferred contractor. You will want to reach out to your contractor to make all neccessary repairs to your roof. Thank you.

The roof of my house went under warranty September 2020, my husband and I bought our house December 2021 with the stipulation that our roof came with a warranty. We didn't know and weren't told that we had to transfer the paperwork. Our roof started leaking over the weekend and we thought no big deal we will just call the warranty. Only to be told to kick rocks, because we neglected to transfer the paperwork within 60 days. They were able to see that our roof had a warranty, but because we didn't transfer it they wouldn't do anything to help us. Okay, we dropped the ball on the paperwork. However the roof clearly had a warranty and should have been covered for another 14 months. Their work obviously didn't hold up and the roof should still be covered. They did a job, said it would be covered and now they aren't holding up to their end of the deal because of paperwork. Ridiculous!

Hello - I apologize for the inconvenience however; the warranty is a legal document and must be abided by. All warranties from Standard to Platinum do require a transfer with 60 days (higher warranties require funds to transfer these). If the warranty is not transferred in 60 days, the warranty becomes null and void. Please visit www.OwensCorning.com to view the warranty stipulations. Thank you.

Our roof was installed by one of Owens Corning platinum installers and not two years later we had it inspected and it was installed incorrectly and because of the bad install we have black mold growing in our attic that Owens Corning say they wont cover because its not their problem that the ventilation was installed wrong. It was their platinum contractor that caused the problem because of their awful install.Theyll cover the repair of the roof but were going to be out thousands for mold remediation their installer caused. 0/10 Do not use them or High Performance Homes!

Just had my roof done December ******************************************************************************************** that OC was just as good. Well it isn't. ************* in ****** ***** did the work and asked for full payment day of install. That raised a red flag for me so I went on the roof the very next day to find these OC shingles were horrible. Coach roofing saw the pictures and said it was defective shingles. But in order to file a claim you have to pay the roofer in full. Well I would of never of paid him except they won't accept the claim until he's paid. This is a complete scam. I see so many others with similar problems. OC doesn't stand behind Thier product. I should of found a GAF installer. I still have a claim and submitted several pics of the roof the day after installation. Seems Color variation is not something they'll fix. Shame on OC for Thier shifty business practices. Please don't use these shingles. Even my contractor (************* of ******) says Thier defective and they are certified OC installers but OC *********** could care less. I feel scammed and this was a week after my sister's death. Scammed by OC and it's certified installers I just wish I could post pictures on here to show the lousy shingles.

Hello *** -It appears that you have opened a claim with Owens Corning ******************* on 12/20/2023. At this time we have received your photos, however we have not received the two full size shingle samples to proceed with the claim. The packet you received via email also states that two full size samples are required to move forward. Once those are reviewed we can issue a determination. Please call ************ if you have any further questions.

We would definitely not recommend Owens Corning for roofing needs. We had Duration Shingles placed on our home 2 years ago and have had a strong tar odor ever since the installation. It is worse in the summer months to the point where we have to keep our windows closed (we live in the Seattle area and do not have air conditioning so it is miserable). We had the roofing company that installed the shingles evaluate the problem several times. We were instructed that it was a product problem, not an installation problem; Owens said it was more likely an installation problem. Owens Corning stated they do not send out representatives to the home to evaluate and we needed to send samples of the shingles to get an analysis completed. Not surprising, Owens Corning said there was no problem with the shingles after "visual and physical" inspections, but would not share any of the lab analysis as it was proprietary. We have no way of knowing if the analysis was actually completed. There is definitely a strong odor of tar emitted from the shingles that has not dissipated over time. We are the only owners of this house and never had an issue with our roof (20 years) until we had it replaced. Owens Corning is horrible to work with as they do not recognize or admit there is a problem with their product. Luckily the company that installed the roof is going to replace the entire roof with another product. It is unfortunate for them as this is a huge expense. It is also unfortunate for us as it is not an enjoyable process to go through again ... pounding, mess, etc.. when having the roof replaced! If we could give Owens Corning a negative star rating, we certainly would! DON'T USE OWENS CORNING FOR YOUR ROOFING NEEDS!!
