      Toledo Radiological refuses to refund my payment even though they were also paid by my insurance company. Date of service for this complaint was 7/7/2021. This was for services provided for a CAT Scan MRI. My account number is ***************. I paid my bill in full for $65.54. My check# **** cleared my bank on 11/17/2021. I was unaware at that time that my insurance had paid even though I called on 11/16/2021 & "Terri" told me Medical Mutual had not paid. Medical Mutual HAD paid the bill. Medical Mutual's check# ******* cleared their bank on 10/29/2021. I have called Toledo Radiological MANY times. After receiving my explanation of benefits in regard to this I called Toledo Radiological and was told by "*****" that I would receive a refund in 6 weeks. I called again on 1/18/2022 and "******" told me her supervisor was handling this refund. I sent a letter to Toledo Radiological on March 10, 2022 with no reply or refund. I called on 4/20/2022 and supervisor "*****" told me I would receive the refund within 5 days. She gave me confirmation# *******. I did NOT receive a refund. I called again on 5/3/2022 and supervisor "Anne" told me a check would be mailed that day. I still have not received a refund. This is about much more than $65.54 that both my insurance & I have paid to Toledo Radiological. They would have sent me to collections long ago had I not paid them. But, for some reason they seem to think they can keep my money for months. I have spent hours dealing with this and been lied to every time I have called. AND, more importantly, I am sure there are patients that aren't sure how to read an Explanation of Benefits mailed by their insurance company and are owed money from TOLEDO RADIOLOGICAL. I fear this is a systemic problem with Toledo Radiological. Not only is this unethical it is egregious. I'm sure I'm not the only one due a refund.

It is our mutual goal to provide accurate and timely billing services in a satisfying manner to the patients of Toledo Radiological Assoc Inc.

      Our review of the patient’s account has resulted in these findings:

      A refund check of $51.78 is being sent to the patient to the same address listed in the BBB complaint.
      $13.76 was applied to a balance due at collection agency.

      We regret for the inconvenience this has caused Linda Wegman.  At this time, we request you close this complaint as we have resolved it in a satisfactory manner.

      I am rejecting this response because: I don’t have ANY balance due at a collection agency. I have never received any correspondence from a collection agency in regard to this. I paid in full as did my insurance company. Provide PROOF. My next step is to request an audit of my account by the Ohio Attorney General’s office.

      I have received several bills from them stating I owe payment and that my insurance was denied, however, my insurance **** states claims have never been filed to date. my dates of service are1/6/22, 12/21/21 and 8/4 / 21 with a total balance of $154.00, account ******. My son ***** *** also has a bill for 6/23/21 $264.00. account *******. I have called multiple times and can not resolve the issue.

      The claim was filed to the local BCBS carrier on multiple dates.

      On each filing the billing office received a reject stating claim was denied as the patient could not be identified.

      On 2/18/22 another claim was filed on all charges to go to local BCBS Federal carrier.

      I am receiving a bill from this company but I have received and EOB from my secondary insurance company stating I do not owe anything for this date of service. I have emailed and phoned this company multi times with no resolution. I have emailed and faxed over my EOB to this company also multiple times as well. The date of service is 9/8/2021. I am looking for the company to give me an explanation on why I am receiving a bill even though my EOB is stating I owe nothing. Can you please help

      I scheduled my mammogram and advised Toledo hospital scheduler that the last time I had a mammogram they charged an additional $102 for 3D imaging. So did NOT want that this time because my insurance won't cover. The day I arrived I advised the lady at the window and the lady who did my mammogram that I only wanted the regular mammogram because my insurance won't cover the 3D imaging and they charged me anyway. I called in 6/3-21 spoke **** then and spoke to Ms. *****/supervisor who filed a review. Last week, four months later they adjusted the balance to $66.00 and threatened collections. I want this $66.00 removed. They're practice is fraudulent. Acct#***************

The rep at Healthscope sent claim back for additional review which could take up to 25 days for processing. The $66.00 balance has been adjusted with the collection agency.
