  On approximately Nov. 13, 2023, ***** ****, owner of J & G Tree, met with me as President of the ******* ***** ****** HOA for the purpose of giving me a quote for removal of a tree in our community. We agreed upon a price of $350. He requested a 20% downpayment which I paid him with a personal check in the amount of $70. He told me that he had insurance and was to provide me with a copy of that documentation. I later found out that he DID NOT have insurance. I tried working with him for several months to give him an opportunity to get the insurance. He finally blocked my phone number so that I could not call or text him. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PERSON, He is a crook. Gives you all kind of excuses for financial problems. Makes promises and then doesn't follow through

  I'm responding back to complaint! I did meet with customer and did call him back and told him that my insurance premium was due and respected his concern and I would pay my premium then other needs were important! I stayed in contact with gentleman and ask if I could do job I still was covered yet he was adament about me paying premium I said money was scarce it was my slow season! I called back he gave job to someone else it is now late December going to be January I had no work no $ and ask if he could give me some time to pay him we both agreed then in February I changed provider phone service to new provider they lost my number that i have had for over 18 yrs ! I did not block him ! I just got back to work a month ago for over 3 months had no income coming in! I will contact him and let him know ! Did have a rough period but never made excuses! He is titled to his opinion does not make it true what all he said! I do have his number and will be calling him! I have been with bbb for 10 yrs A + I'm not going to please everyone but I do agree that the last 2 yrs I started getting negative reviews from people who lied & were very rude I was dealing with many issues and doing my best to please!

  On or about March 2023 I contracted with ***** for $675 to trim dead limbs off of two trees in my back yard. He stopped over my house more than a half dozen times leaving equipment in my yard for weeks on end and leaving a young boy working for him alone for hours. By June he said he would have to get help to remove the last big branch. However by the end of July it still was not completed and the giant branch crashed down on my grandchildren’s playhouse ($250). I contacted him and he tried to spin the problem on me saying “I never moved the playhouse, which is why he didn’t return”. It’s totally ridiculous that it would take over four months to do a little tree trimming to begin with. A friend referred ***** to me so I did not question his work ability, and he present well for contracting bids but not so well when he shows up to work. But after reading all of the negative reviews, I concur they are spot on. I threaten to take him to small claims court, but it isn’t even worth my time - I’ve chosen to give it to God. He should not be left to scam people on down payment money and then not finish the job! In my personal option I was over charged & deserved refund to the other damage he caused to my neighbor new fence, my fence & the little playhouse for my grandchildren.
