Absolutely a mess! All of the sudden, this insurance company thinks they are Drs. A Dr. can prescribe you medicine and the insurance company thinks you don't need it! What is going on here? We have become a socialist government! There are some people who legitimately need their medicine to get through the aftermaths of surgery. They tell you they need Dr ********* which take 2-3 weeks for approval. What do you think the prescription is? UGH! Just a nightmare of a company!

They just stole $790 from me by not informing me that a medication had changed from tier 2 to tier 4. They refuse to return the $480 "deductible" I owed due to the tier change. Plus the cost went from $6 to $158. I could not make this up. Do not use this company. Be warned.

If I could give Elixir 0 stars I would- the very first time I used them they rejected my prescription and it was for antibiotics- I had to call them to get them to fill it- today after being discharged from a hospital after pacemaker surgery - they denied my oxycoden -cvs said that elixir wont allow them to fill it - even I wanted to pay cash - I had to call them and they said that they made a judgement call on not filling that drug -because its an opioid- really- if you need ******** prescription drug coverage do NOT use this company as you will be calling them for every drug from antibiotics to painkillers

This company enrolled me in their drug program when all I called about was information. What happened next was Aetna disenrolled me from my complete coverage. I have nothing now and I am 89 years old and have had one stroke already and was hospitalized. ******** has to review whether I can get te-enrolled before the usual sign up dates. Never my intention to leave Aetna. I filled out a disenrollment form Elixirr C/S person told me to. Filled it out online and submitted it while she was on the line to make sure it was correctly filled out. This is a travesty and putting my health at risk. Next move is to consult an attorney for the flagrant disregard to a near 90 year old citizen.

Without a doubt, the worst Part D prescription plan company I have ever used. They overcharged me for one prescription because my doctor prescribed less tablets per day (two) than their pricing model says (three per day). They wanted three times the money for two-thirds the amount of medication! Incredible. Then I filled out their online form to transfer four prescriptions from my local pharmacy to Elixir mail order to save a few bucks. Elixir promised to handle the transfer, but then didn't fax my pharmacy and I ran too close to the refill date to have Elixir fill them via mail. So I paid my local pharmacy extra to fill them. Elixir lied about faxing the pharmacy and then refused to contact the pharmacy to straighten it out. Finally Elixir did arrange the transfer, but only after I browbeat them to death. But they screwed it up by asserting that I transferred prescriptions that I asked to have filled immediately, which I didn't, but telling me "helpfully" that they would fill them in a few weeks when in fact some aren't due to be filled for months. After transfer Elixir lied again by telling me that I could easily order refills online via a "Portal," but it wouldn't work for me because I am somehow not the right type of customer -- no explanation provided, other than that I have an ID number beginning "EIC".In short, Elixir is a total mess -- they're incompetent, dishonest, have poor customer service. I have had to spend way too much time managing my prescriptions because they come off as incapable of doing so and not caring if they do.
