This was the worst experience I've ever had and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. My family and I recently heard about this restaurant and wanted to support a black owned business. We went there on Saturday, April 6, 2024 to enjoy a yummy breakfast. It was pretty busy when we arrived. The hostess said the wait would be about 25 minutes, not a problem at all. The wait ended up being closer to 40 minutes, still not a problem. Once seated and orders had been placed, the waitress said we should receive our food in 25 minutes. After waiting another 50 minutes, I asked the waitress how much longer. She stated there were six tickets ahead of us. I asked to speak to the manager/owner. An African American male came to the table, I noticed he was a little huffy. When I inquired about the wait, he asked me what my motive was for calling him over to the table. I explained that I did not have a motive just wanted to know if this was how things normally were since it was our first time. I also stated that he should accept feedback from his customers. He then asked if I was trying to upset him. At that point, I no longer wanted to support his establishment so I asked the waitress to cancel our order. Once I got outside, there were two customers walking up. I told them be prepared to wait a long time. This same African American male came running outside and told me to stop talking to people. He then starts yelling that "he is getting money". My husband responds by telling him that it's not about the money but customer service. The manager/owner aggressively responds, "I'm from the streets *****"I would give this restaurant zero stars for customer service. I cannot believe this manager/owner spoke to us in this manner. My child was there and had to witness the highest level of disrespect. This was all because I inquired about the wait time. Ridiculous and unacceptable on so many levels.
