Sales man from ever dry came out and told us that if we went with the 3 step program they offer not only would our basement be 100% water proof but they would cover anything that happened in our basement after they have completed work. We stressed that we wanted to finish our basement. He assured us that if anything were to happen everything would be covered under their warranty if our basement was to flood in the future. That’s the reason I higher a professional company and paid them well over $20,000 dollars to Guarantee our basement wouldn’t flood again like promised by their sales man. Well 8 months after they completed their job their system was overwhelmed and flooded out basement. I spoke with someone from ever dry this morning who informed me that they do not cover any damages in the basement. My problem is that’s not what the sales man told us. Otherwise I’m a licensed plumber I would’ve done the job myself if I would’ve known their warranty was Bogus. Not to mention I have pictures of their crew installed wrong fitting for the pipe they were using. The fittings they were using was for smooth wall plastic pipe and they were putting in Corrugated drainage tile.

My fiance and I purchased our home in February and have had flooding issues with it since then. We contacted Everdry to come out to remedy the issue. The salesman examined the home for issues and then came up with a "solution" to prevent water from being in the basement. After three days of work, completed this Wednesday (5/4/22), Everdry believed that the work was completed. After today's (5/6/22) rain, there is additional water in the basement. I would be happy to provide additional details, but the work was sloppy overall for something that costs $19,000, and has not remedied the issue. I have contacted them several times this morning and they have not yet offered a solution to the problem. In addition, I would like to report at least one instance of them submitting false reviews to ****** (there may be more, but I have not had time to see if there are additional ones yet since I'm dealing with the flooding issue). After I posted a review, there were 8 5-star reviews posted to ****** at about the same time. One of those is from a Lori B********, who works at Everydry, per her ******** page. There are also two posts by the same person, but with different accounts. These are very misleading and borderline fraudulent!

No one there seems to be in charge when your trying to talk to a manager to get your problems resolved. Everyone always says I will put it on someone’s desk and they will call you, then no one calls. I payed for the multi step system to make sure it covered everything and they only waterproofed two of the four walls that I had paid for, not to mention that the ones they did do are still leaking. The outside looks terrible the pipes they placed stop right in the middle of my front yard on both sides and are right on the surface so that someone could fall on it and you cannot cut the grass around it. If the system did work it would pump the water right out on to the side walk at the bottom of the hill there. When I have talked to a few different people they have told me “if it leaks we’ll come back and fix it”. That’s what I was paying $18,000 for, I want the problem I paid you for fixed. I will be getting a lawyer involved if I can’t ever get anyone to call back and take care of this. It’s been weeks and every person who’s come has done nothing but take pictures and “pass it along” but it never gets my problem resolved.

We are 75 years old my husband and I. we saw a add on tv about waterproofing our basement. We called at got an estimate on our basement on June 29, 2021 for a total of 18, 710.00. We put down 2000.00 cash. they told us that we were on a waitlist. Finally , Everdry came to do the job on October 2021. 6 guys showed up on the job late 11Am they went to lunch at 1pm they were gone until 4pm siting in the car smoking marijuana. I called Everdry to let them know spoke with Katie she was going to talk to the owner and call us back.... NOTHING. then calling several other time and speaking to katie, leaving message after message. NO RESPONSE. the company NEVER CALLS US , i have verify that they have our numbers, but none's calls back. i wrote a check for the balance of the job on 10/28/21. $16,710.00. we had buddy's carpet come and lay $15, 000.00 plank flooring. 1.) My water main was broken and no one said anything until the water department found that it was leaking under the floor and at the main valve. - Which was admitted to me, that it was the fault of the previous workers. This increased my water bill to over $350. 2.) The cement was not laid incorrectly the first time and continued to break, not crack, but break until you could see the gravel underneath. 3.) The pump was installed in the middle of the doorway of my bathroom 4.) The pipe to the pump was then illegally run through the drain and out into the street. 5.) The Shield I was promised by the sales rep was not what was actually written up or installed 6.) The shield that was installed was installed incorrectly and is too long and touching the footer causing it to bow out, where it is bowing out, if you touch it, it pulls away and cracks the concrete. This is around 90% of the basement. 7.) The concrete that has been laid and put down, is not all the same color and now I have clear caulk along the edges. So it's safe to say visually, this is a disaster. 8.) Today! Which you can confirm with ******, when he pulled back a piece of shield that broke, behind there he found that when they were drilling the weep holes, they SHATTERED one of the blocks that hold together my back retaining wall. Imagine my surprise when I found that a vital part of the wall's integrity was compromised, not fixed, and then HIDDEN behind plastic. ****** was kind enough to add concrete and basically put a bandaid on a broken leg, but it's more than anyone else did. 9.) The sump pump was moved and in being moved, it sank, it shifted and part of it broke in less than 6 months. 10.) My work was completed I believe in Sept or October... and I have had you out here 4 times to fix, 3 times to assess, and have yet to find results and lastly 11.) Someone puked in my floor and left it and another threatened to pee in the floor (which I have on video)

19 March 2021 a salesman from Everdry came to my home. I had requested information online about two issues I was having with my home - abundance of moisture in the home and wall separation from the ceiling. I was told that installation of tile around my home and inside my crawlspace along with ventilation system called EZ Breathe would eliminate my issues; at the cost of $24.240. The work was performed 19-23 April. First issue I had was the installation of the EZ Breathe vents; it was to be installed in the foundation (per brochure). The installer decided, without my permission, to install the vent in the side of my home, in the brick portion of the home. Next the installation of the tile, that was to reduce the moisture and separation of my wall, did not work. I called Everdry and the salesman (who never would return my calls). Over the next few months Everydry replaced the door to my crawlspace, put vapor barrier in my entire crawlspace, shut off the EZ Breathe system and installed a dehumidifier. All of these band-aids did not work. Everdry only responds when I call in; sometimes several calls before anyone responds. They scheduled me weeks or even months out only to have them cancel for broken down truck, cant find meter to read humidity, and lastly a flat tire. I was told they do not know how to fix the problem. I have requested several times they hire an engineer and find out how to fix the problem. So far they have refused to do so. My last appointment was on 7 Feb 2022 to install yet another vent in my floor. I asked Everdry what they had done to prove adding another vent, cutting another hole in my floor (this is 2nd one) and the answer was nothing. The technician called and said he had a flat tire and could not make it. I texted both supervisors who I have been working with that I had, once again, a no show. To date I have not heard from Everdry. It has been almost a year and I still have the same issues.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.

I was on assignment for my work in regards to the AFA Aerospace Warfare Symposium and was not available last week.  I was awoken on 3/4/22 by the doorbell with someone from Everdry at my door.  I asked them why they were here.  He said he was here to install a vent.  I told him I was unaware of this and asked if he could verify that testing was done to guarantee cutting another hole in my subfloor, compromising the floor, would solve my problem.  He said nothing had been done and could not guarantee this would solve my ongoing problem.

Note that Everdry has already put a vent in my subflooring in my laundry room and did not test to see if it was working.  After I contacted EZ Breathe and found out a smoke test should be done, informed Everdry of what needed to be done, Everdry then came out and did a smoke test but the smoke did not flow to the vent but rose to the ceiling.  Everdry then closed off the vent, shut off the EZ Breateh system and put a dehumidifier in the crawlspace.  That did not solve my issues either.  Now they want to cut another hole in the floor in my dining room, through my carpet, and restart the EZ Breathe ventilation system.  No one from EZ Breath has been here to verify their system is needed and a new hole will solve the issues.

Again I have asked Everdry to hire an outside Engineering Firm to find the actual source of the issues and present a remedy.  This has not been done.

The "Air Expert" from EZ breathe showed up 3 hours late on last appointment scheduled 31 March - Everdry was unable to reach him that morning for the 10 am appointment.  The EZ Breathe rep told me he would call me in the next few days and never has.

March of 2021 we had EverDry come in for their multistep system. They rushed 3 days. Yard wasn’t put back right. Many things in front of their faces were not taken care of that was part of the contract we selected and paid for inside and outside. Damaged our dry wall and never said anything about it. A month after work was done, I had areas collecting water, actively leaking and showing moisture in visible cracks that were left unattended. Called, 2 weeks later a supervisor comes out. Agrees on what needs to be done. Waited over a month, they come, and I have to debate with 2 guys on what work was supposed to be done and reported. Everything wasnt recorded so only a quarter of the work was done. Called, had to wait over another month to get it finished. They trashed my basement which I left for when they came back. In that time frame, I had other areas reveal themselves of active leaking water. They came and did the “finished” work. Another month or so passed and I had a water fall of water coming out of one of my walls. Cracks, seal plate. Lots of cracks were hardly sealed that does nothing. They all opened back up. They came by after another month after I called and waited 2 weeks for a supervisor to come and see what must be done. They completed both 120ft walls, repaired my dry wall and sealed some of my porch which did nothing. Few days later, another actively leaking crack show up that was hardly sealed the first time. Complained, came by 2 weeks and sealed it. Now I have another crack leaking where it meets the outside drainage system. I have flooded big puddles all over my basement. My inside drainage system is all damp and dark. I paid for this system that isn’t even working or doing it’s job. My basement is ruined and they never fixed it. I want money back or everything paid in full and cancelled. The bank is involved and whatever EverDry told them they do not contact me anymore. It hasn’t even been a year and this will be the 5th issue and it’s severe.

It was a detailed thorough inspection and found far more leaks than I could find. Lots of agreements have been made on what needs to be done and what should have been done right in the first place. Although I still would know I deserve to have money back regardless, I hope this is a final resolution for the years to come and can finally continue to finish my basement and fix all damages due to the water damage from the foundation. I’m still awaiting a call from the General Manager in which he told me directly he would after an this inspection appointment.

I have been dealing with Everdry of Cincinnati since the summer of 2009. They have been at my house over 10-15 times since that time. it as always been due to lack of getting the problem done correctly the first time. I paid over 14,500 to get my basement fixed. This last incident Everdry came to my house was on 8/1/21 to see what additional work needed to be corrected. At that point they gave me an appointment date of 11/1/21 to come and fix the cracks in the floor and replace some wood 2x4's. I thought it was ridiculous that I had to wait 3 months for them to have to come and fix this problem. I called several times to see if they had any cancelations to try and get the job completed earlier, but they never had any. I have not been able to put my basement back together because of this. On Friday 10/29/21 I get a phone call telling me that they would be at my house on 11/1/21 at 8:00am. Ten minutes before they are due to arrive I get a phone call saying that they are short staffed and are unable to get come and do the work that needs to be done. This is totally unacceptable to me that now I may have to wait several more weeks for them to come. I have scheduled other contractor's to come to do drywall work and replace my flooring, which now I have to reschedule. I have had the WORST experience with this company and wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. Not only do they make you wait numerous months to come, but then they cancel at the last minute and think it's normal business practice. I have never dealt with a company this bad. They by far are the worst company!!

I am attaching a word document which details my entire complaint as it is well over the 1000 word limit. The short version is, Everydry has sent 4 separate crews to our home and our basement is still wet. They have failed to waterproof our basement and I do not feel comfortable allowing them into our home again. I want a refund in the full amount of this job as well as to be reimbursed for the cost to have a faucet replaced in my basement which the first crew broke the handle off of. If I need to retype the complaint in a different form or send it via email, please advise.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.

The complaint has not been resolved yet. Everdry is sending someone to my home on 11/02/21 to discuss the issues and try to come to a resolution but please do not close this complaint because an agreement has not been reached.

Chris, Production Manager and another supervisor came out on November 2 and looked over the issues we are having. They looked at the side of our house and said typically they would want to dig the outside of the house and waterproof from the outside but there is not enough room to do that. Which is ironic because when the salesman was at our home he said if we would move the rock wall that was there Everdry would dig the side of the house out and apply their coating, etc. But we were also told it wasn't necessary and the basement could be waterproofed from the inside. So, once again, another lie has been revealed in their sales tactics. Chris determined the only other option is to drill more holes in the walls higher up and apply "plastic" 4 x 8 sheets over the entire surface so the water will flow down behind the plastic wall and into the drainage pipe. He asked us if we would allow them the chance to try and fix our problems. He even offered to have the work done on a Saturday as to not miss anymore time from work. My husband and I agreed to give them one more chance because we want a dry basement. Chris said to give him until Thursday to get a Saturday crew together and he would call me on Thursday and let me know if it would be this Saturday 11/06 or next Saturday 11/13. Well, Chris did not call me Thursday and he also did not call me on Friday. After Friday at 6 of not hearing from them, my husband and I made plans for Saturday assuming it wouldn't be until the following week when they would be out. Saturday morning at 7:10 a.m. Chris called both my husband and I. He said he had forgotten to call us but he had a crew at the shop loading up and they would be out to do the work. Are you kidding me?! Sure, he apologized but where did we stand on his list of priorities if he forgot to call what I would think would be his biggest problem customers at this time? This just reiterates the complete lack of competence this company has. I am furious about the fact we have been treated like our issues and time are not important. We cancelled our plans to let this crew come out. Mind you, this is the FIFTH crew we have let into our home. This crew was very professional and it appears they have done a good job but that will truly be determined when it rains again. I still expect to receive a call from Chris to discuss compensation for all of the trouble we have went through and the lies we have been told through this process. He said after the work was completed he would be calling to discuss options and hopefully this time he will actually call. But, at this point, the complaint still has not been resolved.
