I contracted with Super Paving to redo my asphalt driveway which was in bad shape. They were apparently making robo calls to attract customers. In September of 2020, Buckey came to my home to give me an estimate for the driveway. I liked the idea of a 5 year guarantee & a free driveway seal after 1 year. We agreed on a price of $5,250. & a date to do the work. When the work was done, Buckey informed me that I had to give him another $500. Because his boss said that since they used more asphalt, I had to pay them the difference. I felt I was being taken, but gave him a check. When September of the following year came, I called the # I had for them & said I wanted tit sealed before winter per our agreement. Then started a series of calls, texts, & promises to do the work after this man telling me that Bucky was his grandson & no longer working in the business & he had no idea of what he had agreed to. Of course, when cold weather arrived, getting asphalt was not possible so the work could not be done before spring. Come spring I began contacting him again & again got promises, but no sealing done. I was angry by this time & threatened to have my lawyer involved & to contact the BBB. That has been our interaction since then. Promises & excuses but no work. I informed him recently that the driveway now has cracks which probably would not have occurred if the drive had been sealed. I got a text saying they would be here to fill in the cracks & seal the drive.Since they 5 year guarantee is expiring in September, I feel it is time for me to do something about it. I am 81 years old,on a fixed income, & unable to spend any more money on this driveway.

My wife and I contacted Super Paving and Roofing to fix our driveway. We signed the contract on 7/22/24, and paid a down payment of $1,500.00. It took 3 months for them to start the job. After finally completing it, we have standing water on it. Plus they asphalted our garage door shut! My wife told them several times while they were doing the job to not asphalt the door shut. They did not follow directions. I have called, and texted DeAngelo the owner several times. He keeps giving me excuses for why my driveway is not getting fixed. We paid the balance of the contract of $4,000.00 when they completed the job. I have sent pictures to Mr. ******** several times. I want my driveway fixed correctly!

The company per company owner, Angelo B***** per his Caller ID at ************, was notified of the repairs needed after patching and applying sealcoating to my driveway. He was notified of this need 3 days after the work was performed. He made multiple promises over the weeks that followed to perform the repairs and never honored this commitment. His last promise to do the work was on November 6, 2023, and again a no show and no communication. Does not answer his phone or text messages to the above number. In addition, his work guarantee consisted of a statement of: "Your good for the next 5 years". Never produced a written statement to that effect. I spoke with his son a week prior to November 6, 2023 to address the problem and was told, "My father has been preoccupied with a sick family member". On research I found another complaint using the same reason for non-compliance. The work that was completed was fair, however areas of poor product use and coverage which allowed the old drive surface to show through, as well as, non-filled cracks and holes remained. Areas of water pooling was also noted as well. Not really sure if his work crew was trained or skilled in doing this type of work as I witnessed them at work with Angelo who was instructing them from a distance on what to do. Not a good sign of competence. In closing I intend to file a lien against the company if I get no resolve of this matter. I would hope that if this complaint is read by someone in the company, the company will do the right thing.

[Complaint received via email.] Super Paving & Roofing (2700 S Knickerbocker Rd, Bay Village, OH 44140) has been sending us different variations of faxes from different businesses for the past year. We have contacted them repeatedly. They claim we are off their list, but we continue to receive them. We get 1-3 per day. Attached are examples of what they send.

I apologize and if you would like me to pay for the ink please let me know.  Or I will cash app her.  I have already contacted the marketing company about this and I was not aware they were sending faxes. She should not have received any within the past week and a half.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I had filed a complaint a few weeks ago regarding unwanted faxes. I accepted the resolution on the promise that no other faxes would be coming through from the company, but we received another one today from the same business as before.

    Regards,

I signed a contract on 5/1 to have a double wide drive added to the current and have the current drive replaced and repaved. They began the job @11 am May 12. Stayed until @5p. Applied a very thin (1/2" at most) layer of dusty, crushed gravel. Did not correct any lumps or potholes effectively or drop at end of drive that car scrapes. Came back @11a May 13 and 'finished' by 4p. The drive has all the same lumps everywhere and is under a 1/2" thick layer of poorly crushed asphalt over most of the drive. The edge of the driveway is a long squiggly line all the way down and the drop at the end of the drive might actually be worse. The drive fills with puddling when it rains. I had weeds sprout through it by May 15th. I called and complained. On May 17th his crew returned to 'correct everything '. They showed up @11a and were gone by 1:30p and did not ask if I was okay with it before leaving, even though they knew I was inside. They did not fix anything, they heated some areas up in attempts to level but were not successful. They did not add any asphalt. I called back immediately and was told they'd be back out next week and reapply everything. That week he called and said next week. That week he called and said next week. He was supposed to come today, its almost noon, nobody is here. I called building dept, he never registered or got permit. I researched online and found a handful of other clients he's done the sane to in the past 7 months. I am very upset I will need to have everything pulled up for job to be done correctly now and will cost me far more. I would like a full refund of the $6,000 this has cost. I would like for him to stop doing this to unsuspecting people. Taking advantage of us like this. I have lots of photographs of the project start to finish to back me up.
