0 STARS This place is a complete disgrace and is falsely advertised on the internet. The phrase "you get what you pay for" definitely rings true with this seedy dump. I am choosing to leave this review so that other innocent, law-abiding citizens are not scammed like we feel we were when we chose to stay at this place this past Saturday night. We just passed through the Cleveland area this past Saturday evening, on our way home from a 12 day road trip. We were exhausted and needed a place to stay to get some sleep for a bit, and we Googled hotels in the Cleveland area. We found the FairBridge Inn & Suites showing as a great deal. The pictures seemed fine, and the reviews that showed up were not all terrible. When we booked with the third party booking agent, we were told the night stay was non-refundable. At the time we did not care, as we had no reason to be suspicious of anything. Well, when we finally arrived to the hotel, we were quite appalled. There was bullet-proof glass encasing the "front desk," where the employee had to speak to us through some type of microphone; there was literally NO furniture in the "lobby" area - nothing on the walls, no couches or chairs, nothing; there were suspicious looking people lurking around the inside and outside of the lobby area; and when we went to park the car there was very obviously a sexual act occurring in the front seat of the car parked next to us. Immediately we knew that this place was not what we thought it was. The inside of the hotel smelled like stale cigarettes and marijuana. Carpet was peeling up inside of the elevator and there were all kinds of scuff and scratch marks on the walls inside the elevator. When we arrived to our hotel room, there was ancient looking furniture and decor, the bed seemed clear of bed bugs from what we could see with the naked eye, but the bathroom was a complete dirty mess. We left as soon as the sun came up. I have more to say but this review is cutting me off.
