A nurse fed my mother a pill off of the ground. She had trouble getting it down when they initally gave it to her and she choked it up. The staff were not able to find the pill on the ground and told her that they could not give her another. A short while later a nurse spotted the pill on the floor. She gave my mother a choice. Take what she found on the floor or not receive a pain pill at all. How is this legal? Besides that, the care is almost non-existent. The staff literally treat the patients like animals. When I visited my mother, one of the nurses walked in and my mother was visibly afraid. I asked the man If he was the person who fed my mother a pill off of the ground. He said that was another nurse and that it should have never happened. But it did.

ER Doctor was rude, failed to listen, and formed a diagnosis based on his opinion. My exray showed a lung mass; results sent to my pulmonologist. I had pneumonia and also something else. No procedure or evaluation was prescribed before pneumonia cleared. No mention was made in the ER about my pneumonia. The ER doctor, a resident, said it could be benign or malignant, only a biopsy would tell. Then in a very smug way he said I think it’s cancer because you are a former smoker and are coughing up blood. My doctor was not concerned about the blood, it happens when you have pneumonia and will review the CT after my illness clears. He was not going to stick a needle in a mass on a women of 82 without more diagnosis. . Then the ER doctor walked out with not one word of concern. He missed my pneumonia and made a diagnosis without my doctors analysis. He seemed overjoyed as he said, your smoking caught up with you. This was on 1/28/2023. I was filled with extreme anxiety until I saw my Pulmonologist. No one should get a diagnosis based on an opinion. I am very angry.

I arrived at the ER roughly around 4:15 pm after half a day of uncontrolled vomiting. I indicated that, as a diabetic, I was having symptoms of DKA and needed fluids as I was severely dehydrated, nausea, unrelenting vomiting, having shortness of breath, and my blood sugar was not dropping no matter how much insulin I gave myself. I was briefly checked in at the desk, taken back, asked some initial intake questions, then told I had to wait for a bed to be free, then sent back out into the waiting room until roughly 11:00pm when I was finally taken back. I was admitted for an overnight treatment with plans to be discharged by the following morning. The hospitalist met with me about 8:00am, assured me the plan was to release me that day as everything seemed to be going well with my recovery, and I never heard from her again. One of my normal medications wasn't administered, without explanation. An additional medication was administered without any of my questions about it being answered. The hospitalist on call never spoke with me again, and none of the nurses could get a doctor to do so. The nurses were wonderful, but they couldn't provide me any information other than, "You have new orders to take X,Y,Z medication now." The lack of communication by doctors is appalling. The nursing staff appeared to be doing their best and truly showed compassion, but the doctor(s) in charge of my care seemed to be too bothered to respond to my questions or concerns about my care, so much so, that they didn't even communicate that through the nursing staff. 24 hours AFTER being told I was going to be released, another team lead nurse brought an entourage into my room to tell me the doctor had spoken with me about discharge and I'd be going home soon. 24 HOURS LATER! The doctor STILL hadn't spoken with me. I informed the nurse that I would be leaving that day, AMA or otherwise, to take myself to another hospital if I needed further help as they did not seem to acknowledge my concerns.
