    I’ve been paying this company $1200/month over the last year. Every time my doctor or dentist tries to file a claim on my behalf, Anthem refuses to pay. They have my birthdate set up in their system incorrectly. I’ve been trying to get this fixed for the last year, with no success. This is incompetence of the highest!!!

    I have been a Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield customer for many years. I had a telemedicine call with an online doctor a few weeks ago. They ordered blood work. I submitted the blood work through Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield as my insurer. I didnt submit the actual doctor as it was a telemedicine and I knew it wouldnt be covered. They denied the bloodwork because the prescribing doctor was not licensed in my state? Kind of defeats the whole point of saving everyone time and money by using telemedicine if the insurance company wont cover any of it. The total bill was only $81, so its not the amount that is the issue. Its, once again our insurance companies control access to our health care. Folks wonder why life expectancy in the US is down year over year vs going up like the rest of the world... Ask Anthem Blue Cross Blue Sheild. All they care about is paying their agents 6 figures a year to find ways to milk their customers for more premiums and pump up the denials. Insurace costs over 1k per month, I have a in network deductible of 3k with an out of pocket max of 6k. The only benefit of this insurance is if you have a preauthorization. Next time I have a heart attack or worse diagnosis, I am going to call and ask if its ok first. If it only worked that way.

    It's too soon to tell but after one month I'm told that I can get a ride to the library or community center but not to pick up life saving meds at the pharmacy or to the grocery store. How absurd? At first I thought what idiot came up with that idea. Then I decided it was just evil that cares more about profit than human life. I only switched from United because my Doctor of over 10 years was not in their plan. What a huge let down.

    26 minutes on hold waiting for a representative, then disconnected. Well, that is one way to avoid paying claims - just don't take any calls. Ridiculous.

    My 30 yr career was in insurance. I was a licensed Life/Health agent and let me tell you this is the worst company I've ever dealt with. Their website is worthless. Their online 'chat' is a waste of time. We have received numerous emails about 'My Rewards' but when I look online there are no rewards credited to the account. My husband had his Wellness exam done on Feb 9, 2024 and should have received a $45 Reward, which I was told takes 60 days to be applied. It's now been 132 days and still it's not been applied. After spending worthless time with their 'chat' (had to be AI) it ended with me being told I needed to call, which I did on June 13th. I took 18 min but I was finally given a 'ticket #' so we'll see how long this takes. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.

    I pay an obscene amount for health insurance. Over $800 biweekly. The amount of things that are not covered for the price I pay is criminal. I asked for a break down on what my money is actually paying for, and they said I can go online to view my benefits. Which is largely vague and gives no real information. This is a legalized mafia. Will be reporting them to the state insurance board.

    This company operates exactly like ***** ******** **** ********* in *** *********. They sell to the public, take a lot of your money, then make up reasons to deny claims for any reason. Especially once you've met your deductible, they deny claims they've already approved that you've paid for because they'll have to contribute. Genuinely bad people and a company that shouldn't be allowed to operate.

    Horrible company for doctors too. Every year at around November, claims get randomly denied for absolutely BS reasons. Come January and the government gives them that sweet tax money, they suddenly pay SOME but not all of the backlogged claims. Meanwhile, they shell out $1.16 BILLION dollars in dividends to their stockholders and hundreds of millions of dollars to their executives. That's our money. That's OUR tax dollars.

    This is the worst and most dishonest company ever. They show a list of approved providers before you sign up but no one on that list accepts this insurance. Not one single Hematologist within 100 miles of me accepts this worthless insurance. ****** customer service is rude and unhelpful and hangs up on customers. They don't care about your health or well being. All they care about is you paying your monthly premium. What good is having insurance when it is accepted by no one and covers nothing? This company should go out of business. They show you a list of dozens of in network doctors to get you signed up and then show 0 once you are locked into their plan. It's a bait and switch and it should be illegal.
