I contracted with this company to do work on my house in phases, each of which would be paid at the time the work was done. I have attached a copy of the contract. Phase 1 was to include kitchen cabinets and drawers, hardware installation, backsplash, countertop, full paint job on house. The backsplash were completed. The paintjob was completed with issues: My skylight and grill was painted and will need to be cleaned, the accent walls (3) had to be repainted due to bleed through. I paid for the countertop and was told by the owner he would reimburse me, the cabinets/drawers have not been completed and therefore, no hardware installation was done. Since the contractor was making the cabinets/drawers, I will need to start over on this, so I am seeking the full amount for cabinets/drawers based on the lowest national average shown on ******* list $2200), and the cost of the countertop with installation ($2145, invoice attached), and the cost to repaint the three walls and fireplace and clean the skylight ($300). Phase 2=flooring. Although the flooring was laid and the baseboard replaced, contractor failed to clean cement stains from flooring and seal the floor, as is standard of practice. Additionally, he failed to remove the construction trash from my yard. He did not finish the baseboards. I have messages/emails stating he would be doing this, but he neglected to show up or answer my calls or messages, except once a week for 3 consecutive weeks to say he'd be here, and I had to have the work done by others. Trash removal ($300), baseboard completion ($120), floor completion ($1320, based on 60 hours it took to complete at stated helper rate of $22). Additionally, I paid for doors to be installed and three of those doors were done incorrectly. Two had to be resized ($80) and one completely reinstalled ($100). I am seeking a refund of $6895 to cover the items listed above, all of which were paid for in full and not completed. I have all email/messages related to this.
