    i would give zero stars if i could. They tried to convince us a seam in our granite countertop was "just fine." My husband researched how yo fix it! They came back and fixed it , but we had to tell them how!! I heard it is under new ownership. The new owner was angry from the moment we mentioned the seam. Never give the last payment til you are satidfied!!

    This customer was installed on April 4, 2022. Customer was satisfied at install. Received call later that day that one of the seams was not up to their standards. I emailed them to let them know a technician would be coming on April 5th to take a look. On April 5th, our employee arrived to find the seam appeared acceptable but he did work on it some. A photograph was taken afterwards and sent to the office as proof that the seam was acceptable. The customer stated that the seam looked very good. Later that day, an email was received at Permastone showing a picture of the seam from a side angle that made it appear that the countertop had been scraped or sanded and left that way. This did not match the photograph taken after the repair was made. The customer claims to have gone on the internet to find information on doing repairs to countertops. When Permastone asked for a picture of the seam from a top angle, one was not sent, and the customer stated that from the top the seam looked much better. But, we agreed to send our lead fabricator, who has 25 years of experience, out that Saturday, April 9th. Once again, a photograph was taken showing an acceptable seam. At this point, Permastone did not hear anything further. The customer submitted no more complaints. A check for the final balance was received the week of April 11th AFTER the repairs were made. Permastone is under new ownership as of March 2018. The original fabricators and install crew are still here and have been for 15-20 years. We attempted to work professionally with this customer and help manage their expectations to no avail. Seams in natural stone are not invisible and depend on the type of stone and patterns. Some seams will be better than others because of that. Information on the internet can be inaccurate, and customers should always discuss the characteristics of stone and care of their countertops with their fabricators and suppliers.

    to set the record straight, we did send permastone the "picture of the seam from above"as requested. permastone did end up coming come back twice trying fix the seam that was initially deemed "acceptable". whats interesting was that they only acknowledged the problem after we informed them we were going to formally report their company to the oklahoma state attorney general office of consumer protection division. li and behold they promptly came an reset the granite . it finally looks good and we can no longer see light through the seam. none of this had to happen at all, if they cared about producing quality work.

    Actually, we were in correspondence with them prior to the review as stated before. This review comes after speaking with the husband who was pleased with everything and very courteous. It seems there is a differing of opinions in the household and sometimes you can not make customers happy no matter what you do.

    after install ,my husband didnt notice the seam . i got home later that day and pointed it out to him. He was shocked he missed it. so i called Permastone immediately. No one can say that the gap in the original seam is satisfactory. you should not be able see light through a seam! only after telling them we would report them to the state DA consumer office were they willing to fix. Only after resetting one piece of granite was the seam fixed.
