I purchased a lens generator (COBURN SL2) along with some other items from Optical Works Corporation which were delivered March 8, 2022. I have since had issues with 2 of the items I purchased, one is a ultra RX coater that seems to be sucking air in the unit when the air is to be pushed away from the unit to avoid contamination after doing some trouble shooting it turns out Optical Works Corporation had wired the power supply and the fan backwards. I spoke to Scott whom I believe is the owner and after trying to shift the blame on me he agreed to send a new power box with rewired fan that I had to install after paying Optical Works Corporation 17,000.00 to send me a full functional unit that is still not working as it should. 2nd is a Coburn SL2 lens generator, when I first received this unit I tried to process a job but the SL2 was not functioning properly after calling scot again with this new issue he again tried to shift the blame to me asking if anything had happen to the SL2. he finally agreed with the help of his employee named rick that sensor wasn't installed properly and again I had to readjust the the sensor to the aliment needed on the SL2 that I paid over $35,000 now this same SL2 is not cutting certain prescriptions on power as it should and again after talking to Scott he again is saying it is cutting as it should after trying to blame everything else in my lab for the RX but the defective SL2. This last issue was on May 24, 2022 I called Coburn technologies who actually manufactured the Sl2 and spoke to a gentleman named Gene and agreed that the problem is defiantly coming from the SL2. So now I'm left with this SL2 that cant process the work I need because Optical Works Corporation took advantage of me and sold me a defective machine. I don't know what to do, I am a new business owner and started this business with little money and wont be able to afford another SL2 AND JUST TO BE CONNED BY ANOTHER company like Optical Works Corporation.
