    Bought hearing aids from audio recovery. Defective. Owner replaced pair and defective. 6000 an ear and told I now have to pay. Ripped me off. Owner never put new pair under warranty. Now I’m deaf and out 6000 dollars.

    Patient had some issues with the hearing aids he purchased not working properly. We try and set regular maintenance appointments to keep the hearing aids working properly. The last time he was in was in the clinic was last March and he cancelled or now showed 3 times. Recently patient called in to our front desk upset and stating that we ripped him off a lot of money. Then he proceeds to go to social media and BBB to start complaining about us and how we ripped him off.  The only problem is he has totally forgotten about his service plan with us. He never even came in to the clinic to give us a chance to fix the aids. He just goes off throwing a fit like we are trying to take advantage of him which is not true at all. The pair of aids he is now wearing was an upgraded pair of hearing aids that we gave him without charge a year ago. Patient was confused about his service plan with us and the manufacturers warranty. He was just acting like since the aids are having a problem then they are no good. This is false - it is common for small little digital devices to have some problems over the course of time for many reasons. (sweat, wear and tear, age of the device, etc.) Hence the reason why we try to schedule regular maintenance. We have been in business for nearly 40 years and have a great reputation and many happy patients. Each patient has a service plan with us and we take care of them.

    It is not right to go to social media and BBB to start formal complaints without even coming into the clinic to have us take care of the problem. If he sets an appointment comes in to get the aids fixed and we do not take care of him or even try to fix his aids then he has a reasonable complaint. However if someone starts formal complaints and they haven't even given a company a chance to take care of the problem then it is only human emotion based on inaccurate information.
