On July 8, 2023, I contacted Security Lock Seevices and a price was discussed over the telephone which I agreed to in the amount of $390, for a replacement key fob. The technician programmed my key fob. After testing the unlock and start functions of the key fob, I pulled out the emergency key which allows me to access my vehicle if the battery in the key fob is dead. It had not been cut. The technician told me to wait while he cut the key but then advised he didn't have the equipment to cut it in his vehicle When I advised i would not pay $390 for a key fob that won't give me full access to my vehicle, he told me if I came to the shop, they would do it at no additional charge. Then he tried to charge me an additional $100 since he had to unlock my vehicle in order to program the key fob. I advised I would not pay the fee, as it was not discussed prior to services rendered. On July 10, 2023, I went to the shop and was ultimately informed they could not cut the key. I asked for a refund and the owner told me if he gave me a refund, he would have to take the key. When I told him that was fine and I would have AAA come tow my vehicle to the dealership, he refused to give me a refund.I told him that he is responsible for his employees after he apologized that his technician was misinformed. I told him the technician clearly only said what he said in bad faith to get a payment.I was denied a refund. This is bad customer ********************** and is unacceptable for a business and business owner. They took advantage of a customer in a desperate situation who believes in good faith. They lied in order to get a payment on an incomplete service. They failed to honor their end of the deal. This was a waste of time and money. I am still forced to get a key fob that is fully functional so I don't get stranded in the event my key fob battery goes dead.
