      Do not go to the ************ AAMCO location because they cannot help you with your transmission.On 3 June 24, my wife brought her 2018 ***** Pilot EX-L in for a transmission flush. They told her it would be 3-5 business days after the warranty company approved it. The warranty company approved services on 6 June 24 which was a Thursday. *********************************** jacks the vehicle up on Monday the 10th then waits for a driver from the ************** location to pickup the transmission and take it back so they can repair it there. The transmission arrived at the *********** location the morning of 12 June 24.My wife stopped by the ************ location on the 12th to check the status of the vehicle. They told her itd be 3-5 business days from today (the 12th). A simple service is now taking 4 weeks to complete and this is why the warranty company didnt want to pay the high labor cost. AAMCO didnt call on Thursday evening to let us know the work was approved by the warranty company, the didnt call Friday to let us know it might take longer, and they had no intentions of letting us know today that our transmission was not with them.The Service Manager didnt understand why ** upset and got an attitude then told me I could pickup my transmission-less vehicle today when I put my foot down. If hed called and updated us instead of us calling and having to stop by then we wouldnt have had a problem. I told my wife this is some bull over the phone and he chimes in and says thats not professional as if his deceitfulness is. He then calls the warranty company and argues with them over recommended services.We missed a funeral in *******, missed swim lessons, and the kids are cramped up in the house half their summer because ***** doesnt communicate. Do not take your vehicle to AAMCO ************. They cant help you. This is about setting expectations and communication. Drive it up to *********** or to another business where they are transparent and understanding.

      Here is our center managers response;

       it was supposed to be a reseal service that turned into a build, i have kept his wife and the warranty company up to date as we went, the warranty company has been quite helpful, but they drug their feet on approving the entire build, it has all been approved and we got it installed, but it has to come back out per *********;s, he left something out during the build process. and he is correct, i have not updated the husband, and have no plans to, all he does is cuss at and threaten me. and has every time I've spoke with him.

      According to our manager, the wife has been kept updated as well as the warranty company.

      Barring anything unforeseen the vehicle will be ready Tuesday the 9th.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      My wife has not been informed by AAMCO. To say shes been informed indicates they have called and given her information. Call logs show that is not the case. AAMCOs statement is misleading because I spoke to ***** when we dropped it off and everything was fine. The next time I talked to him was 13 days later, past the 3-5 day suspense he provided, when he interjected himself into a conversation I was having with my wife over the phone. My wife had to go to the shop to ask about the vehicle because it had been 2 weeks into a 3-5 day service. Thats when ***** told us he sent out transmission to another location. ***** then threatened to grab the keys and you can come pick it up right now, which doesnt make any sense because he took the transmission out. The estimated completion date of the 9th is ridiculous. ******* said Monday, the installation was done and would be done by close of business the next day. Yesterday was a holiday, so that would mean today.

      I took my vehicle in because my a.c. was blowing hot air and was told it would be a couple of days and it's been 10. Days so far and I was told that a part had to be ordered and then told that the system was hacked and could track my part and then finally I call yesterday and then they said they system was up and I would be I've of the first people they they would get to and still hadn't heard anything. I truly think they are just trying to charge me car shield insurance for holding fees, this is crazy. I just needed my ac fixed not an engine or transmission overhaul

      I took my vehicle in on November 20th, 2, and 1/2 weeks later, they told me I needed my catalytic converter, replaced. Almost another week, the catalytic converter is on, but somehow, now my motor is locked up. I asked them how, but they don't know, I get, "We don't know, that's never happened before." I asked the guy to find a new motor to put in it, he calls me back 15 minutes later and says he found one but it would be way cheaper for them to go in and just find the problem and fix it. I agreed to it. Finally, after all the back and forth, on January 11th, they say it's done. Almost $7200.00. I ended up having to take it back because the check engine light came on, and none of the lights, locks, anything on the inside worked. A few days later, I get it back, and it's in worse shape than when we dropped it off in November. I paid almost $7200 for a vehicle I still can not drive. They completely ruined my vehicle, and now I'm out $7200.00 and a vehicle. I feel like if they would of just replaced the motor like I originally asked (although the motor wasn't locked up when it was dropped off), I would be able to drive my vehicle. I know I won't get a refund and I refuse to pay them anymore money. They stay in business by ripping people off.

      We are not aware of ********************* engine is locked up. She contacted the center several weeks back stating she was having issues and she was instructed to bring it back in and we would look at it and she has not brought it back for us to determine if this is an issue with our work or a secondary issue with the vehicle.

      Our General Manager got a hold of her and instructed her to bring the vehicle in so we can identify the issue and correct if it is due to our work. We are waiting for her to return the vehicle for us to look at.

      My truck needed a new brake line put on and my transmission was shifting hard up and down through the gears and slipping in and out of gear. 4-1-2023. Mileage: *******. Was told they did a full vehicle inspection and that my transmission fluid was burned up and I needed a new, or rebuild my transmission. I agreed for them to do it after I got the quote. Told me truck was ready 5-2-23 total rebuild of transmission. Started truck next morning at 5:00am for work and there are no dash lights on anything. Speedometer, fuel gauge, heater nothing. That's when I noticed my mileage on my dash for my truck was not right. The mileage was ******* and now it reads ******* and my dash was all busted and barely in place. They never gave me a reason on why they replaced my dash and the mileage difference but i believe it is illegal to mess with the mileage on vehicles? The transmission was still not fixed truck would not shift out of first gear. Had to get a ride to work then after work I took truck back to aamco 5-3-23. It took 3 months for them to call 7-24-23 called and told truck is ready. Picked truck up 7-25-23 Mileage ******* Truck still not shifting correctly and the speedometer is off 5 mph and the shifting linkage not working 7-26-23 Took truck back to aamco. Picked up in August of 2023 then taken back 10-11-23 because transmission is shifting hard up and down through the gears and slipping in and out of gear. Picked up in 12-1-23 mileage *******. Transmission is shifting hard up and down through the gears and slipping in and out of gear. 12-15-23 truck taken back because transmission.

      They contacted me and told me to take the car in because they were going to fix everything they broke and the transmission the we already payed in full for the repair 

      The agreement was the transmission 

      The the diferencial that they crack in the repair 

      The plastic console that covers the shifter 

      The 2 laterals the are in side body that they broke lifting the car 

      That was 2 weeks ago and I gave them time to get costs of the repair that they said they needed 
      Today August 8 I went to see the progress that they have done and the car is sitting outside havent been touch and the manager ******* said she needed approval from her boss to go forward with the repair

      I have a **** *** 330 Xi and it was leaking water so I called Car Shield and asked them what shops near my house takes car shield so they told me a few place and the closes one was H3136383330****353837H *** **** W ************** so I called and asked did they take car shield and told him I had a water leak so he said yeah bring it in and well check it out so I start it up and drive it up there 3 minutes away from my house and dropped it off so he finally call days later and says well you need a radiator he said he contacted car shield and its covered car shield buying a new and sending it to aamco so he call me again oh you need a radiator hose car shield says its not covered I said ok he calls me again days later oh you need a water pump car shield says its covered he contacts me again days later oh you need a thermostat so I went and bought one at ****************************************** and I took it to him he says ok it should be on there in six he didnt call me back that day or the next day so I called the day after that I say whats going on with my car he says well the sucker dont wanna start for u so I sent it to my buddies shop Ill let you know once I get it back he calls me when he gets it back he says youre gonna need a new engine and car shield denied putting a new engine in

      This customer was a warranty company that denied the engine repair due to the customer driving vehicle with a bad head gasket. The engine needs to be replaced and warranty company declined the repair. There is nothing AAMCO can do for the customer. They need to work with their warranty company.

      On 12/13/2022 I took my truck to aamco to have the transmission fixed after analyzing my vehicle the general manager called me and told me that I needed the transmission rebuilt new motor mounts and brakes and would charge me nearly $6,000 to complete the repair I told him that I did not and will not pay $6,000 for something I don't need meaning engine mounts and brakes he told me if I didn't get the vehicle fixed I could just get it towed off and I told him I didn't get it towed in so I won't get it towed away and he needed to fix the problem he then called me back and told me he could put soft parts in the transmission for $3,500 and I said fine after 2 days he called me back and told me that now I also had to put hard parts in the transmission for the vehicle wouldn't run and charge me an additional $400 I picked the vehicle up the vehicle was not working right sounded bad I took it back they kept it two days tell me everything was fine it was just a motor mounts and they needed to repair them I told him the motor mounts doesn't have anything to do with the transmission I've run the truck back within the week because it wasn't running right the transmission was pulling didn't they tell me it was the battery didn't have enough power for the electrical system tried to charge me 465 for a new battery and tell them that wasn't going to happen so I took the truck to a repair shop I had them look over the truck they said the battery was low but it wasn't a problem but I replaced the battery I took the truck back again and told him the battery was fixed and now I needed to be repaired under warranty again he said it was the motor mounts ((two)) motor mounts try to charge me over $700 I took the truck to my repair shop the repair shop said it was only one motor mount and it had nothing to do with the transmission I had the motor mount fixed and my truck and the transmission is still not operating correctly, the first time I took the vehicle back I asked him why did it sound bad they said they forgot to hook the exhaust back up the first time. I need my vehicle repaired or the money back

      On 09/29/22, I *** My Car Towed To Aamco In *****, ********. The Issue Was That My Car Was Not Starting. All The Lights Turned On But It Wouldnt Turn Over. On 10/03/22, They Diagnosed The Problem And Gave A List Of Things I Needed To Fix. I Asked *******************, The Aamco Manager, What I Needed To Pay For Just To Get My Car To Run. He Stated I Needed A New Battery, New Alternator, A Gasket Valve, ********** Change. This Added Up To Roughly $1307.00. I Asked Him Again, On A Recorded Line, To Quote Me Only The Things I Needed To Get My Car To Start. He Said That If I Paid For The 4 Things Listed Above, My Sat Would Start. I Paid Him And My Sister **** To Pick Up The Car. I Was In ********, ******** ********************* From 10/01/22-11/12/22. This Is Why My Sister *** To Go Get It For Me. We Live Across The Street From Mechanic. She Was Able To Drive It Home. When I Got Home On 11/12/22. I Didnt Drive My Car When I Got Home From ********, ******** Because I *** Been In An Accident The Morning Prior To Boarding My Plane. I Can *************** Record. I Didnt Attempt To Drive My Car Until 12/13/22. I Work From Home. So, I Dont Use The Car Everyday. I Attempted To Start The Car And It Didnt Turn On. This Time, The Lights Also Didnt Show. I Called The Aamco And They Stated It Was A Faulty Battery. I Got It Towed In And They Fixed The Battery. I Was Able To Drive It Home And The Next Day.. It Stopped Working Again. I Called, Towed It In And Now They Say Its The Starter And They Want An Additional 467 To Fix It. I Already Paid $1307.00 And My Original Issue Was Not Fixed. I Am Not ********************* To Fix My Starter After Paying Them The Original Money And Im In The Same Position. Ive Called And They Are Not Willing To Give Me Any Money Back. I **** To A Local Mechanic And They Stated It Only Looks Like The Battery May **** Been Replaced. I Really Need Help.

      I am rejecting this response because:I called Into Aamco On 1/03 And Asked To Speak To The Manager. I Was Told By A ***********************, That He Was The Manager. He Also Advised That He Couldnt Help Me. He States That They Did All They Could To Fix My Car And Would Not Be Offering Me A Refund. I Do Not Trust That That Business Will Keep Their Word. I Was Very Much Taken Advantage Of And Left With No Resolution. This Man Looked Me In My Eye And Lied Straight To My Face. Which ***** Because I Was Just Looking For Help. I Advised *********************** That I Would Really Like To Resolve The Issue At The Location Before Going To Other Places And He Still Didnt ************* What Is Crazy Is, After Filing Complaints, I Got A Call From *******************.       I am rejecting this response because:I Got My Car Fully Inspected By A Different Shop. They Advised That I Had A Short In A GPS Tracking Device, Put On My Car By The Dealership. That The Device Is Old And Drained My Battery. Causing It Not The Start Properly. Since, My Car Is Working Fine. But What Is Strange Is That Aamco Recommended I Change My Starter. That My Car Wasnt Starting Because I Had A Starter Issue. That Was In Fact, Not True. My Starter Is Just Fine. I Reached Out To The General Manager To Express My Displease **************** Recommending A Service That I Didnt Need. This Was Supposed To Be Their Solution To My Issue And It Was incorrect. This Leads Me To Believe That They Only Were Only Suggesting Things They Hoped Would Fix My Issue.. Instead Of Properly Looking For The Actual Issue With My Car. Very Unsatisfied.

      We had our vehicle repaired at this location on 10/27/2022, and they forgot to s**** something in, and when we left there, we leaked transmission fluid all the way home. By the time we arrived home, our transmission was completely locked up. Aamco paid to have the vehicle towed back to their shop on 10/29/2022. They finally got back to us on Monday, October 31st, and told us we need a new transmission, and they want us to pay for it! We had this transmission replaced in April, and it was NOT slipping before they worked on our vehicle. We have spoken to *******, who is the ** at that location. He has given us the regional manager's email address because he refused to give us his phone number. When we emailed him, he stated that this issue was pre-existing, and he stood behind his master mechanic. We are so disappointed in how things are being worked out. We went to have a wiring issue resolved, and now we need a new transmission.

      The vehicle was brought to AAMCO for the check engine light and blowing fuses. The vehicle was placed on a lift and the transmission pan was removed. This is where the brain of the transmission rests. While removing the pan it was discovered that the wiring

      harness was pinched which caused a short. This was done during installation of the pan when the transmission was reassembled where ever it came from. 

       AAMCO replaced the wire harness, reset the codes, test drove the vehicle, and check for leaks.  This vehicle was working without issue or leaks when it left our center.

      The short in the transmission pan to the brain of the transmission caused the transmission to be in "High" pressure 100% of the time. This transmission should "Never" be in high pressure. 

      When at 100% pressure 100% of the time, this caused the engineering parts (clutches, seals, bearings, bushings, gaskets, fluid, etc...) that are made to wear, to wear very quickly and cause failure prematurely.

      The vehicle was towed to AAMCO. The vehicles transmission fluid was checked and it was full. 

      We believe that the transmission over heated and caused some fluid to blow out of the dip stick. Without being there we do not know.

      We are sincerely sorry for your challenge, however, the transmission failure is not from AAMCO's work.
