      I took my car in to Chapmans Auto back in April 2023 because I was having some issues and a horrible loud noise and oil leak. Rusty the owner listed off the things he said needed fixed, to fix my car. A few days go by, and I call to check in and he said that he had found more things that needed replaced so he went ahead and did it, because my parents were helping pay for the repairs and he figured "it would be okay". Which raised the price a few hundred dollars. No calls or anything, just took it upon himself to go ahead and do. A few days after having my car back and it starts making the same noises and having the same issues. He told me to bring it back in, that a belt needed greased, and it would solve the problem. Few days pass by, and same thing AGAIN. I was fed up and not wanting to take it back. May 30th, I took my car in to Christian Brothers Auto and they did a complete inspection on my car and everything that came back on the report that needed repaired is EVERYTHING that was "supposedly" fixed at Chapmans auto! That my dad already spent $1,175.72 Confused and angry, my dad called Rusty at Chapmans Auto and told him what was going on and that he needed to fix it. My car is currently there and has been since May 30th. He said that the alternator needed replaced, which was not on the list of things that needed fixed from the first time I had taken it to him and the report for Christian Brothers Auto. He is asking over $500 for this repair and I believe I should not be charged for fixing something that was supposed to have been fixed already.
