I made an appointment with Boomer Tire & Alignment in Ponca City, Oklahoma to get new tires installed on the rear of my 1984 F250 Super Duty truck. Monday March 20th 2023 I dropped the truck off at 9am. 12:30pm I called them and they said they were having trouble with a wheel, something about left handed threads. They called me back around 4pm saying the driver side rear wheel was severely bent and the drum and studs were messed up. They said they could weld the studs back in or order parts. I told them to order whatever they need and fix it right. Wednesday March 22nd 2023 just before 4pm, they told me to come pick up my truck. When I went in to pay, they said they had to weld the studs back in. I tried to inquire more about what happened, but I was rushed out the door. When I parked it that night, I noticed the parking brake doesn't work now. Thursday March 23rd 2023 I called Boomer this morning to tell them about my parking brake. Kyle answered the phone and very quickly told me that has nothing to do with the work they did. He said they wouldn't fix it for free and I'd have to wait until Monday. After examining the driver side rear wheel myself, I notice there are only 7 of 8 studs and only 6 have lug nuts. Where the 8th stud should be, looks like the wheel was hit with a chisel. I need the parking brake fixed and the wheel fixed right (not welded).
