After the 2023 Tornado our veterans organization had extensive damage to our building. We hired Trimac construction owner **** ******** as our general contractor. It took 17 months to get the building brought back up to code. We had several issues during this time with workers not showing up for months at a time. When they finished we had a long list of items, many life safety items, annotated by the city inspector. Many items are still outstanding. We have called him numerous times to fix the leaks in the new roof which are staining the new ceiling tiles, and ruining the new insulation. We still have not received the post covers for the side entrance porch cover. The front facade has not been sealed, and he still owes us a refund for the leak in the wall cause by his crew doing temp fixes on water pipes and sealing the wall. We could go on with the faulty construction of crooked walls, missed spackle on dry wall, security light put on wrong side of building etc. The members of our post, ranging in age of 60-75, did all the inside demolition to help save money to ensure the building was done right. He took advantage of us which is unacceptable. Our veterans gave everything for our country and to have a company, that has done impeccable work for other businesses, treat us so poorly and then neglect to fix problems caused by his lack of supervision of sub-contractors is disheartening. All we ask is that he repair his product so our organization does not have to spend money hiring other contractors to fix the things we have already paid for with every bit of insurance money we received.
