    I purchased an online a git certificate for Mint Mobile, the cellular company. However, I made a mistake and purchased the gift certificate for Mint Mobile Detail, which is carwash company in ********. The recipient of the gift certificate did not inform me until recently that the gift certificate I sent was not accepted by Mint Mobile, the cellular company. The recipient was embarrassed to let me know as it was a gift. I contacted Mint Mobile Detail and they say they can't refund my money because it happened over a year ago. The gift certificate was for $300, which Mint Mobile Detail is going to keep them without providing any services.

    Mint Mobile Detail's branding, name, and likeness is trademarked nationally and came to fruition prior to Mint Mobile's existence in 2016. Our website clearly labels our services, shows pictures of clean vehicles, menu pricing for detailing services, a hiring page for detailers, and also allows clients to purchase gift cards.

    Regardless of our 0 refund policy with our gift cards, we did understand the frustration and try to refund this customer. Upon doing so, we discovered that his purchase was made over a year ago and we have no way of processing a return. This is not our policy but the policy of the processing company we use--their system for refunds does not allow it. Unfortunately we have no means to refund an accidental purchase after over a year has passed. We do encourage everyone purchasing eGift Cards to check they are on the correct website, that they read the clearly posted information available, look at the name of the business--and in this instance--not wait over a year to try and get reimbursed.
