    I have lived at Deerfield Estates for over a year now...during this time I've had multiple(5) BATS eat through my wall behind my stove and are flying around in my home. The only effort they made was to keep foaming but the bats were still getting in. They refuse to have an exterminator remove bats. I even contacted animal control myself and they said Deerfield doesn't want to pay to have them removed which is crazy cause they(bats) literally live with us cause I can hear their colony in our walls. Besides that they have a hard time fixing my heating and airing. Me and my 6 year old child have been in my apartment the past two days in 81 degree weather even though my thermostat is on 70. I've called 4 times and left a maintenance request and no effort has been shown. I need help!

    These apartments are pretty old. Maintenance sucks. They turn the water off every week at least two times a week for supposed maintenance issues. From my understanding, and from what I’ve seen, we have MAJOR pipe issues! I always have issues with my second bathroom and toilets as well. Black MOLD growing in the walls that they don’t want to fix as well. They have a colony of bats living in the walls and won’t get anyone to exterminate them or move them. So sometimes bats crawl inside your home and fly around ( ive had 5 bats in 1 year) and then they tell you that they can’t help you get them out because they are supposedly endangered. They also take 12-24 hours to fix any AC problems so you and your child if you have any kids will be sitting in 84° weather for about 24 hours.. so their emergency line doesn’t act like it’s an emergency nor do they always follow up and call back.. they also up your pay, but don’t make any updates to the apartment. They also have heavy closet doors that stay coming off the track and could potentially fall on your child in cause great harm. I don’t think I missed anything. These complaints are not just my own I’ve heard plenty of other residents with the same problems and I don’t understand why these complaints haven’t been addressed.

    After reviewing your account I do not see you have any open work orders. I do see you had an AC issue that was corrected the same day it was put in the system. You may have called the emergency line, however the outside temperature is what determines if it is an "Emergency" or not. The property works closely with a pest removal company for any issues such as bats. That is an outside vendor and we have no control of their schedule. We are at the mercy of when they can respond to a call, the same as anyone else would be. If you have any concerns about what could be growing in or on the walls that would need to be reported so that it can be addressed. We can not correct things that are not reported. Some water lines are connected to many buildings so sometimes when we have a leak several people are effected. This is why we sent out an message last week asking everyone to report any water leak issues so they can be addressed all at one time rather than having to turn water off multiple times for the same building. Please contact our office so we can address any and all concerns you have regarding the property.
