Paid a 100$ administrative fee plus a 65$ application fee to hold an apartment i was told was being move in ready. Paid 599.66 for the first months rent to even get possession of the keys. I was told i couldnt view the apartment since they were being renovated and none were available to show. I paid all my dues. (prorated first months rent, paid my security deposit policy and got pso to activate at the address.) Go to the apartment and was given a not move in ready apartment. I walked back to the main office and returned the keys and was told that i would get contacted on monday. With the following conditions of the apartment. • Missing door in main area • stains in the carpet as if they didnt get it cleaned. • water stains from apartment above • needed a good paint coating and updated appliances. Ive been trying to contact the property to see what the next step is for getting a full refund. Since my move in date was scheduled for 04/08/2023. Havent heard back. Left a voicemail stating that i wanted to go ahead and withdraw. Ive emailed them saying that if i didnt get a response by tomorrow at noon i will be filing a dispute with my bank. I just want to make sure my credit or future search for apartments not be put on hold for this.

Hello yes i got in contact with the property and was told i would only receive a check covering the first months rent. Totalling up to $599.66 and should arrive within the month. But in regards to me paying the $165 for “securing the apartment” i was told i would not receive a refund for. I called my bank my bank dispute it since it was out of my control that the apartment wasnt move in ready.
