I signed contract for roof replacement with this company following storm damage. It was to include repair/replacement of siding which this company had installed and remains under warranty. This company had provided the installation of this siding in September 2021 and since they had all the pertinent information regarding the damaged siding (and maintained the warranty), it was the main reason we declined offers from other roofing companies to replace the roof. I was told it would take 4-6 weeks for a contractor to schedule this work, but someone would come to verify the original measurements prior to installation. After 10 weeks, (after the holidays and more bad weather) I made several more attempts to contact the company. Several voicemail messages were left or occasionally when someone did answer the phone, they would assure me someone would return my call. One day (without prior notification) in the early spring of 2024, a worker from this company came to the house to remeasure the roof and locate the areas of damaged siding. He assured us someone would be arriving to begin the roof and siding replacement within the next 4-6 weeks. That timeframe came and went. Phone calls were again made to this company off and on from June to August 2024. Finally, since almost a year has passed since the contract was originally signed, I again attempted to make contact. I left voicemail messages at all three locations, ***, ***** and ***********, ********. One week later, I again called all three locations. This time I received the message at each number: "the number you are trying to reach is out of service". I would just like this issue resolved somehow as well as the $1000 deposit returned since they did not provide the service they agreed to.Initial Complaint

On December 19, 2023, I paid Community Builders $2850 for 3 windows, and they said they would arrive and be installed in 3-4 months. In early January they came out to measure the windows. In mid-March, I called for an update and spoke with *****. She assured me they had been ordered, but she had no way of telling me any more than that. Then in June, I called her, and she returned my call, saying she had no update. Then Aug 9 I went to the business and found only ***** there. She seemed shocked to see someone in the building. She said her phones and computers were not working, so she could give me no information. She took down my name and number and said she understood that I was upset. She never called me back. I have since left many messages at the office in *****, *************, and ***********, with no return calls.Initial Complaint

Bought ***** ****** walkin tub. Had it installed. Now the door seal is leaking and we are attempting to get seal replaced by the company that installed it. We can not get them to answer the phone nor return our calls. We are unable to locate the correct seal for the door ourselves. Just want them to send us a correct seal for the door. Without the correct seal the tub is useless.Initial Complaint

We purchased a shower from Community Builders in 2021. We paid around $10,000 and it came with a lifetime warranty. The shower pan has a crack in it and we have called the company for repair. Getting a hold of someone there took weeks. They finally sent someone out to take a look at it in May **************************************************************************************** a few weeks. We again tried to reach out to the company with much difficulty through phone, text email. When we emailed the representative who we had talked with before, she had an automatic reply that she no longer worked for the company due to not being paid. She left e-mail contact information for the CEO, ****** ******. We have reached out to him to no avail, even letting him know we were going to pursue legal action. From what we have read from other customer reviews online, it appears he took off and did not pay his employees. We just want our shower repaired under the lifetime warranty we were promised. This company has poor communication and customer service, and we regret using them and would not recommend them to anyone. Any help we are able to get through BBB is much appreciated. Please let me know any other information we can provide. Thank you.Initial Complaint

3/26/24 We paid $9,000 cash for a down payment on a contract for windows, siding, guttering. In over 4 months, we have called the office multiple times. If they respond, it is to tell us that they will get back with us. I got two emails from the finance company. The first one went to a former employee that said she quit because she wasn't being paid. The second one was the owner of the company and he has not responded. I sent a fax requesting that they refund my money or give us a timeline of completion. They sent a guy out to measure windows in May but they have done nothing else. This week, I went to the office where a lady answered the door but she claimed their internet was out so she couldn't look up my account. She was going to call me with further information but she hasn't. The grass in front was knee-high. There were no other people around. I have tried reaching the salesman but he is not answering his phone or returning calls or emails. Also- when the salesman was in my home, he claimed *** had an A rating with BBB. I checked then but BBB website said it was updating so we took his word for it. Today, the website STILL says updating. I think BBB could do better with that!Initial Complaint

Signed contract for a new metal roof October 31st 2023, was told 4-6 weeks for a contractor to come measure roof and verify measurements taken by salesman. Contractor came and husband asked how long until we would get a time for install, again 4-6 weeks. ***** from Community Builders called one time and stated she would be in touch regularly to keep us informed on the process. I started calling about 3 months in. Always got a voicemail or was told someone would call back. No return calls, no information. Finally in April did some digging & found out owner of company's name and obtained cell#. Husband called, left voicemail. After at least a month, ****** finally callec him back. Said he was in the process of selling the company and there had been issues with supply chain. Why was none of this ever relayed to us previously? There was certainly no issue with this company withdrawing $4,000 out of our bank account for a down payment on a roof we have now been waiting 7 months for. All the *********** has further damaged the interior of our home while waiting on this install. I want my money back & not to do any further business with this company.Initial Complaint

We purchased a full set of replacement windows for our home with installation from Community Builders. The came to our home and completed the installation. On inspection it was determined that one window was defective. The top portion of the window falls when the window lock is released. The installation contractor stated that he would note this and return with-in 30 days with a replacement. Community Builders did not contact for 6 months so I called them I was sent to 3 other people on the phone and ended up leaving a VM. This has been going on for 2 years with them not returning calls and if they accidentally pick-up I am assured that so and so will call to set an appointment. This has happened 7 times. No return calls, no replacement window. If the exact window cannot be be ordered to replace the defective window I want a full refund for the cost of the window, installation, and interest on this amount. I have tried to work with Community Builders and they have not once returned my calls. This company has acted in bad faith and not fulfilled their contractual obligations or honored the warranty.
