This store posts prices that are lower than what they charge. On 11-13-2023, at roughly 9:25 PST, purchased a box of nutty ******** The box showed $2.79. No other price was shown anywhere. They charged me $3.99. When I returned to ask them about the price, they refused to refund the price difference. They knowingly scammed me, and knowingly refused to make it right. This is a common tactic at this store, trying to trick customers with outdated prices or posting prices that they don't honor or even attempt to use. You can see this also as their food board lists three sizes of potatoes "medium, large, family" but their system only knows 'small, mediaum, large", so when you order a medium (smallest size) that on the board says $2.99, they actually charge you $3.99, since the 'medium' in their system isn't the smallest size, it's the $3.99 one that on the board is 'large'. I have brought this scam to their attention, and they agreed it was shady, but never fixed it. Pretty sure these are illegal tactics for a business to use. The local police refuse to protect it's community from scam businesses. We need to start protecting our communities by stripping these repeatedly unethical scam businesses of their ability to operate so they cannot continue to knowingly scam customers. They are intentionally trying to scam their customers. They tell customers one price, then charge them more, and refuse to refund the difference when they are called on it.I seek for them to stop all activity related to false prices being posted, honor all shown prices in their store, stop overcharging customers compared to what is posted, fix their system of all errors known to charge customers incorrectly, and apologize to every customer in the door for knowingly ripping off locals for years. It's time someone does something about this unethical business and it's practices.Business response

To whom it may concern:
We have reviewed the complaint filed against the store this morning. The customer argues that he was wrongfully charged for the product "Nutty ****** (a picture of that same product is attached). That product is manufactured by ***** Foods and comes prepacked, as we can see in the picture, the price of $2.79 (highlighted in red) is the *** or suggested retail price provided by manufacturer and is not the price that store puts on them. That price was not put on them by the store but comes like that when it is delivered by the distributor. Customer satisfaction has been a key goal of our store and we do not false advertise any of our prices. And in regard to the other part of the complaint, the customer we believe is referencing to an incident that happened around 2 years ago, where there was a confusion between him and the cashier regarding the price of "Jojos" and to which size that price belongs, and how he was charged for them. He had submitted a compliant to our main office regarding this, and his compliant was addressed. We had taken his feedback very serious, and our staff even went as far as to give him free order of "******" whenever we saw him on his next trip. Also due to that complaint the management also trained cashiers to show the customer which size belongs to which price. For example, now the cashiers always ask if the customer wants the "box" of Jojos or the "bag". We have always tried to go above and beyond to serve our customers and have taken any complaints very seriously. Again, we would never cheat our customers in any way possible.

I have purchased ** *** many times since, and not once have they ever explained any sizes to me. That is a false claim by the store. I have also spoken to several other customers who say the same thing. This store has never had the practice of explaining sizes. That is a false claim. I encourage the BBB to do some investigation, send some people down there, and see for yourselves that this practice does not happen.
They also are clearly admitting they don't post the prices they charge on products such as the nutty buddys, intentionally charging higher than the price on the box. They don't put any labels anywhere near the product with the actual price and PROMINENTLY DISPLAY THE INCORRECT PRICE. Again, I encourage members of the BBB to go down and experience this for themselves.
It's a classic bait and switch, which is fraud. I wonder how many hundreds of dollars they have scammed from me and my family in the years they have been open. A class action lawsuit should be opened to return the money they have scammed from the community with their bait and switch tactics and lies.
