    The 1st quote received from ****** was $2700 The quote included a vent well for the crawl space in the back ****** came out for another walk through prior to starting work. We discussed an additional vent well in front.Work was completed on 5/18/23 ****** said there was no vent well added to the front of the house because it was to receeded in the front. ****** said the vent was installed in the back crawl space.I dug the rock up the next day and did not see a vent well was installed. I emailed and text him asking how far down the vent well was installed. ****** never replied to text or email.I called and left a message and ****** returned my call. I asked again about the vent well. He admitted the vent well was never installed. I asked if I was going to receive a discount because the vent well was in the original quote. He said yes take off $20.00 I received the final invoice for $2,800.00.****** received a check for $2,250.00. I explained to ****** that I will hold the remaining funds for the following reason 1. I plan to get a quote for a vent well in back for the crawl space. If this person says the well is needed then I will pay the new contractor out of the remaining funds and send the rest of $2700 original quoted funds left over.****** said it does not work like that.
