    I was in ******* Plus assist for a year because I received a veterans disability pension. When I went to renew they said I had to verify with Sheerid. I sent over the documents at least 10 times. Each time I failed verification. I emailed the company and got no response. I then contacted ******* who transferred me to Sheerid and I left a message that was never returned. I cancelled my ******* Plus membership and I have read about several active military and veterans having the same issue. I personally believe that this ************ out of ******** Oregon discriminates against Military members.

    My complaint mirrors previous complaints. I also have tried numerous times over the past 4 months to verify my military status with SheerID in order to activate LinkedIn Premium. No matter what document I submit, the automated verification process fails saying it had trouble validating my ID. This has been a known issue in the military and veteran community for several months. The only resolution offered is to submit a support ticket, which only provides an automated response saying the ticket has been automatically and permanently closed every single time with no resolution regardless of what I say/request in the support ticket. I have tried using (and offered to submit directly) my Driver's License, State ID, DoD ID, Passport, LES, Orders, etc.

    I have been trying to purchase Cursor Student Discount for OVER A MONTH now but the SheerID verification process seems to be broken. I always upload my Alberta Drivers License but it keeps getting rejected everytime. I have sent multiple follow up emails but no one seems to care or help.This is affecting my school learning in a considerable fashion. Cursor is a very useful tool for students and not being able to access it all because of SheerID's broken verification process + very unhelpful support services is grossly unfair.

    On Oct. 7, 2025, ********* Assist, in formed me they would be taking my annual membership renewal, and proceeded to so 3 times; in a 2 HR period. This was before I could inform my financial institution it was going to happen. I called my bank to release those funds. but ********+Assist already cancelled my membership. I was told by ******** to "renew", my application through SheerID. I sent all the same documents, and those required as updated, and that system still said I needed more. I contacted SheerID, them asking assistance and as of this date, no reply. Being they have no phone support, there is no quick resolution to immediate problems. ******** says it is on SheerID's end, and to "keep trying to reapply." I get back the same form for more infomation. I am disabled and need this to get my groceries. What more do they need? No one will tell me how sending the exact documents I did the first time, is not working now. A person at ******** Corporate even tried to my application over and "they" even got, " more information needed". There is a problem at SheerID. They need it fixed. The disabled rely on these programs for a hand up.

    I was forced to use SheerID to try and get ******* + Assist. One of the qualifying categories is Veteran and Spouse Pension Benefit. I submitted two VA Benefit letter showing that I do in fact receive a VA Pension Benefit along with my checking account statement showing the same thing. SheerID denied the documents. They should not have denied the documents. They were on official VA letterhead.

    ******** boasts one year of premium for free for Veterans and military. To redeem the offer, you have to verify through SheerID. I have sent them multiple images of my passport, my Veteran ID card, and my driver's license that displays my Veteran status on it. I have submitted this information to them dozens of times over the past few weeks and always receive an error message. I have used the 'contact SheerID' link to report this issue numerous times and they have not once responded. This is a huge concern to me because 1) they are receiving mine and other Veterans sensitive information without providing the stated service and without responding to assistance requests and 2) LinkedIn and SheerID have partnered for this offer which continues to be advertised yet myself and many other Veterans have not been able to access the premium services because of SheerID's lack of attention and customer service.     I am trying to get verified for my annual ******* membership which costs me less because I receive ********. I have submitted my medical card multiple times and a screen shot of the ******** portal showing I am active. This company has not responded to any email I have sent them and I am not going to pay full price for my membership, because Sheer ID cant verify things properly I want my documents verified correctly.

    I am filing this complaint against SheerID because their support team has refused to properly handle my student verification issue.Ive tried multiple times to complete my student verification through SheerID, but their system made an error and failed to process my request. Each time I reached out for help, I clearly explained that I could provide official documentation to prove my student status. Instead of assisting me, SheerID repeatedly sent me the exact same pre-written response saying they were unable to process my verification and that my ticket has now been permanently closed.They didnt review my documents, didnt explain what went wrong, and didnt make any effort to fix the issue. It feels like they didnt even look into my case at all just copied and pasted the same generic reply every time.This kind of customer service is lazy and unacceptable, especially when people are trying to verify their legitimate student status for services or discounts theyre entitled to.Attached are two examples of these identical responses from SheerID support representatives one from *** *. on September 19, 2025, and another from Liezl on October 6, 2025 both closing my case without helping me at all.

    I am a student at ***************** and have attempted twice to verify my student status through SheerID for Perplexity AIs student program. Both times (September 2025 and October 2025) the system returned Verification Limit Exceeded, even though I have only one Perplexity account and have never used SheerID before. I was not using a VPN or multiple accounts.When I contacted SheerID support, the case was closed by their support team lead and I was told it could not be reopened. No explanation or appeal option was provided, even after I offered to supply my transcript or tuition receipts as proof of enrollment. This has prevented me from accessing a legitimate student benefit.Desired resolution:I request that SheerID (1) reopen my case and perform a manual review of my student status, or (2) provide a clear appeal process for legitimate students who receive the Verification Limit Exceeded message. I also ask the company to explain how these limits are applied so that legitimate users can avoid being unfairly blocked in the future.

    They are the ones verifying students for googles free AI for one year. I sent in my information showing that I attending classes at the ******************************************************. They responded saying I needed an official letter from the university proving. I then got a letter from my professor as well as my final back with my certification. I sent those in as proof as they told me that it was too long ago, yet my final was graded after I sent in my first request for this free AI for students. So then they said they needed more documentation. So I sent in everything I had, proving I purchased the lessons, that I was a student, that I completed the course after the initial review and that I do have my certification with my professors signature. They then closed my review with absolutely no reason stated. I will post the message I got.Thanks for contacting SheerID. We were unable to process your verification request. Your ticket has now been permanently closed.Kind regards,Ash C.Verification Support It is so frustrating that the deadline is over in 7 days and they are refusing to accept my documentation that on the rules clearly states is accepted and everytime they said they needed more information, I delivered it. Yes I went through the extention of **********************, however it is not specified that it is barred from acceptance. In fact one of the resources and the only one is something from the university with my first and last name on it, and I got a personal letter from my professor stating clearly I was in her class in attendance. This was false advertisement, I feel disrespected, and I am disgusted at the shady work by this company. This was a 240$ voucher, that's all, all this hassle, gatekeeping.
