      On June 6, 2024 I brought my 2016 KIA **** EV in to have a water pump and a factory recall done. We had paid for the part which was $789.46. When we went to pick. up the vehicle on 6/22/24 we were told all the work was done and we owed $651.70 for labor. We split that payment between two cards. One card was charged $300 and the other one was charged $351.70. In August 2024 I got another notice for my recall and a text message from the *** dealership saying my parts were in. I was extremely confused so I called them. They said all work had been completed that they could see and transfered me to the parts department. The parts department said my parts for the recall had come in and they in fact had not completed the recall. I made an appointment to get the recall taken care of. I dropped my car off and wrote on the paperwork that it was there for the recall and the parts department had the part. We went to pick up the vehicle on 9/24/24 and were told we owed $351.70 for labor. I asked why I was being charged for the recall and ********* said we were being charged for the labor but not the antifreeze for the water pump. I said we already had that done and paid it. He couldn't find anything in the computer showing it so we paid the $351.79. I then got home and found the transactions on both accounts so we went back to the dealership the very next day 9/25/24. We were sent away and told someone would call us the next day 9/26/24. I called several times because we got no call and finally had to go back to the dealership again. Was sent away again and told someone would call us 9/30/24. No call today and I am tired of getting nowhere with these people. Just want to be reimbursed the $351.70they over charged us.

      The business said they would take my totaled car for $2000 after I purchased a car from them, and they said theyd get my title from the **** Now they said they cant locate the title which they said theyd do for me, and theyve been harassing me at work (I work 7 am to 7:30 pm as a nurse) and threatening me if I dont go to the *** which I cannot do when Im working.

      I recently bought my first newish truck, a 2019 ****** Tacoma from Ron Tonkin Kia in February of 2023. About eight months later, I was going on a hunting trip when my truck sporadically blew up the motor releasing fluids everywhere and causing $20,000 in damage. My insurance would not cover it, and my warranty was roughly 4000 miles over leading the warranty to not cover it. Now I have been trying to get a hold of the dealership to get some answers about all of the testing and inspections that they did on it prior to selling it to me back in February. They were not returning my calls, nor were they answering the phone frequently, once I finally got an answer, they told me that they had no access to any of the records anymore because of a computer switch that they had within the year. Unfortunately something leads me to believe that they are trying to hide something from me that they didnt want me to know when I was buying it. I have never been through a process like this nor do I want to be in the middle of it, but I am a 20 year old **************** I still owe $26,000 on and now Im expected to also pay another $20,000 bill. Its ridiculous for this to be happening in a ****** truck with ****** miles.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      It is 100% not acceptable for your company to brush me off with a false piece of information to not help a previous customer on their most important and expensive tool. Im also not sure why your response about not having a computer system change since ************************** your response but why I was not IMMEDIATELY informed personally that it was false information and given the correct information including ALL the reports and testing especially pressure testing that I have been repeatedly asking for. The reason the ****** was never brought back to you guys for servicing was because within a month of me buying I had a check engine light come on due to a sensor and when I had called the dealership (twice) I never received a answer or voicemail, it then lead me to a different resource. My residence is equipped with a large shop with two certified lifts and all certified tools and equipment, In that same month as having the check engine light come on I attempted a oil and oil filter change and when I went to remove the oil filter it was nearly torqued on leading me to take it to ********** to have it safely removed without damaging other components. ******s are of course known to be some one the most reliable vehicles and they are clearly never supposed to crack a engine block at ****** miles. **** that being said I will not be satisfied with a response until I have received ALL testings ESPECIALLY the FULL motor testing and with some answers on why this happened to this ****** and why I have been so mislead by your company.

      Once I get there and pay my bill, the weekend service manager goes out to get my car. I thought he was just looking to see where they stored it, but then he comes back in and asks, is this a theft repair service that never got completed? Um, no, it's a blown engine, I just need you to show me where it is so I can load it onto my trailer and take it home."Well, your car has been broken into and the ignition is damaged."So, we go out to look at it and the entire shroud around the column and metal pieces of the ignition switch are all over the floor."It looks like your car is a victim of the *** ********* where thief's are breaking in to ***'s to try and steal them. We have a bunch of cars in our shop that we are fixing because of this challenge. You'll have to file a claim with your insurance to get this fixed" So, you're telling me that my car was damaged while on your lot with a "challenge" you know is an issue and somehow it's my responsibility when I left it in your care?OK, well, tell me how much it will cost to fix this?Now, two weeks later, I have to call them again to get an answer for the cost of repair and I get the answer "we were waiting to hear from you on what you want to do." I want to do what I asked you to do 2 weeks ago. I want you to tell me what it will cost to fix the ignition and steering column shroud."Ok, we'll have to get back to you on that."Last time I ever deal with Tonkin auto group for any vehicles whether it's a *** or anything else.Totally pathetic.

      I have replied to their offer that I would like them to repair the damage from the theft attempt or compensate me for the amount they quoted me to repair the damage.

      They have quoted $1,500.  I told them in lieu of the repairs, I would accept the the $1,500 + $250 they offered me for the car.

      Please see COMPLETE_SUMMARY for complete explanation of events.In sum:*********************** Manager at Ron Tonkin KIA is no longer communicating regarding an issue he has created, so I am filing a claim to gather information and make a request for reimbursement for a rental in the amount of $2,336.84.On May 12, 2023, due to the negligence during an oil change on which required my wifes car to receive a new engine, I had to get a rental car at Enterprise. I was informed by *********************** that Enterprise was a *** Tonkin Partner and that he would take care of it. Over 5 months later, on 12/1/2023, I had a rental car charge of $2,336.84. ***** said he would drop off a check directly at Enterprise in *************** and said he would take care of it. He left me a message indicating this is not my responsibility and that he is embarrassed. He also wrote an email stating: I am embarrassed about this all and I am again sorry its even an issueIf you do not get your money back ASAP or they call you for any other reason than to say its refunded or Im sorry please let me know. Its 53 days later and I have not been reimbursed for a car rental I had to take out due to their negligence.I have made multiple calls to Enterprise (*******, **, and *************) no one can track the check. ***** has stopped responding or communicating as of 12/18/2023. I contacted ****** at Enterprise in ******* this morning and his concern is the ****** accounting team saw the invoice was paid and then either voided the check, cancelled the check, or just sent the check back to Ron Tonkin KIA.Now, back to my requestInformation: Has the check been cashed by Enterprise? Has the check been kicked back? Has the accounting team at Ron Tonkin KIA reconciled this check at all?Reimbursement: If the check has not been cashed by Enterprise, then please cancel the check, and reimburse me directly. As you will see, I have proposed this in writing, to *****, on 3 separate instances.

      I always loved dealing with *** in Portland, which was friendly and helpful. I started going to *** about three years ago. I had an issue with my check engine light coming on and off and was told it was a sensor they didn't have a fix for. I finally went to my brother and asked if he could check my check engine light, and he said it needed a new Cadillac converter, which reminds you, I already had it replaced, so why would my car need another one? If you have a check engine light, please ensure you're getting another company to look at it to ensure this doesn't happen to you. I also brought my car in May 2023 for an oil change, and my car had been leaking oil for days. I had to bring it back in to get checked and fixed. ******* of *** said it was normal; I also noticed that I was charged more than quoted and had to say something about my coupon not being taken off. I saw they broke my inside filter cover, and they said they didn't have that part in and would call me when it came in. I have never gotten a phone call. I also went to *** of Portland two times to check my car for the check engine light to confirm what my brother said. Only the second time they found out it was the Cadillac converter. I asked why this car needed a third one. They said they did know, and I also wondered about the sensor that I had brought into the *** of ********** for the last couple of years, and they said there was no record of that information. I want people to know about this so it doesn't happen to you and to ensure you're not taken advantage of.

      In Feb 2022, I purchased a 2020 *** ********* from *** Tonkin in *************.The salesperson, *********** mentioned that the car was originally from ******.During the paperwork, I was offered an extended warranty, but **** assured me that the *** had an active warranty, so I declined the extended coverage.In March 2023, my *** started experiencing issues, so I attempted to take it to the dealership, but they had no available appointments.I ended up taking it to *** in *******.They informed me that my *** didn't have a warranty because it was ********* and CA *** cars void their warranties in the **.They also mentioned that the car shouldn't have been sold to me because of this, and I was advised to contact *** Tonkin.When I called *** Tonkin, the saleswoman rudely stated that I did have a warranty, but it was only valid in CA.She suggested I find a dealership in CA for repairs.I contacted *** ******** warranty department, and they confirmed that the warranty wasn't valid in the CA due to my ******** citizenship.*** CA advised me to contact the dealership and request a buyout.Despite the representative leaving messages, there was no response from *** Tonkin.When I called *** **** they also confirmed the need for a buyout and attempted to contact the dealership but received no response.Additionally, the extended warranty I declined wouldn't have helped since the existing warranty was voided when I purchased the ***.Many issues with my **** which should have been covered by warranty, are now costing me lost of $ to repair.The axle is broken, and there are oil leaks, but parts are unavailable due to the car's newness.No mechanics want to work on it, and I can't even trade it in because it's CA.Another dealership informed me that an extra $30k was likely added to the car's price, partly due to COVID-related inventory shortages.I ended up paying around $83k for a vehicle worth no more than $59k. I'm left with a non-functional vehicle, and the dealership is avoiding me.

      When you log in to the dealers website, the present a price with discounts, once you go to the dealership they blame their IT services and they cannot honor the discount. ************* tactics.They claimed they will fix the "glitch", their website is been like this for 1 week or so and still is today.

      I walked into Rontonkin *** today for a safety recall appointment. I was late by 25 minutes for my appointment and was asked to reschedule to a later data and time slot to which I obliged. My disappointment is with the person at the service desk and her rude attitude towards me being late although I did not ask them to accommodate me within the same appointment. I've had a wonderful experience with the sales team at Ron Tonkin kia during the purchase of my car and expected the same quality with the service department to my disappointnent. I am now considering looking at other service centers for my safety recall and oil change service. I would however suggest that the person is trained better in handling paying customers and I hope Ron Tonkin Kia takes the necessary steps to not lose business in the future.Best,Crispin
