I've attached 2 of the 3 estimates they provided and one email communication from the owner, *******************. Each time they are "ready" to come out to drill they send out a new estimate and claim "the cost of gas" has gone up 148% since last year and now they need to make sure they cover those costs in the new estimate. ******************* is the owner and when I spoke to ***** in the main office and mentioned that I will need to review the 3rd estimate before I can agree to do business with them, she said she would go ahead and email me the invoice. Shortly after my call with *****, I received a voicemail from ***** where he wanted me to call him back so he can explain the reasoning behind the newly increased estimate (which I still have yet to see) and that he wouldn't send me the estimate until we had spoken. I told the office I didn't want to speak to ***** and that the estimate should explain and outline all of the charges for the job without needing an explanation from *****. Today I got an email (also attached) from ***** with one sentence "We have made the decision to pass on doing your well project." I started working with Clouser Drilling in April 2021 and over a year later they want to "pass on doing our well project" because ***** isn't happy that I won't listen to his explanation of charges? I have never worked with a company that is so backwards and controlling over their customers wallets and personal decisions. One of the charges on the estimate is for the "*************** Start Card Fee and Administration Fees" and that went from $250 to $700 within a year somehow? ***** serves as a member on ****************************** in and should know better than to overcharge and price ***** his customers.

      RE: 17626404

To Whom It May ******************************* complainant contacted us on June 29, 2021, to inquire about getting a well drilled. He had just purchased the property. He was informed that our schedule was booked for the year, and we could put him on the standby list for 2022. He said he wanted to be in line for the next year when we were talking work again. He had an estimate in the prior owners name and was given a rough idea of the cost but, of course, we would have to re-bid everything at the time of drilling. We did not give him an estimate in his name at that time.

He had a site visit on January 25, 2022, to look at the property and find a place to drill. At his request, he was given an estimate in his name with current pricing. The estimate clearly states that the Estimate will be re-bid at the time of drilling based on material costs & market volatility. At the time of the site visit, he complained about the cost and our business practices. He was advised that it is just an estimate final costs cannot be calculated until we drill the well and know final depth and materials used. He still wanted on our schedule for summer drilling in July.

In July, we called to get an email address to send the drilling contract and updated estimate. The complainant was rude and combative and upset that costs are rising. He was told that our service relies heavily on fuel costs, and they have risen significantly. He was told that I would call him to discuss his concerns. I did call and left a message. He called the office back and was told that I tried to call him, but he refused to talk to me. He said, I dont want to talk to him, just send the estimate and I will decide what I am going to do. There was concern on our end that he had ulterior motives and was going to be very difficult to work with. I made the decision to pass on the job as I was not comfortable with him as a customer, so I sent him an email.

He immediately did an unfavorable Yelp review in which he said he contacted the BBB and CCB. Please see our reply on Yelp. Additionally, he posted the former owners estimate (and claimed it was his), the estimate he received on the site visit, and my email to him declining the job. It is my opinion; he was way out of line to post our pricing information for all our competitors to see.

He accused ** of inflating *************** fees which are set fees. There was a change in the fee structure in 2022 which could have easily been explained if he was willing to have a discussion.

As our Yelp reply states, just as he has the right to choose his contractor, we have the right to choose our customer. We had no legal contract to work for him.
