Dentist said wisdom teeth were coming in. *** told him that his cap came off one of his molars. Dr **** said youre not here for that. Fast forward to now, had an emergency root canal yesterday 2/27/23 for their neglect.

2/9/2023 I went to Willamette Dental yesterdayAnd it was at 7 o'clock in the morning and when I got in the back the nursery man was very polite and nice and then when the dentist doctor came in I felt tension between him I guess he had an issue with me before he even walked in there and I was telling him about my pain in my mouth and they had extracted a tooth on December 8th 2022 andI told him about my pain and what medicines I was taking and then he goes well if you're just here for medicine for pills then you should go to the emergency room and I'm like what I said I'm not here for pills I'm here to see what's wrong with my mouth and umDab there's nothing that emergency room can do for me and he was repeated his self and said if you're here for pills just go to the emergency room so I told him I was like I don't like the tension that you have towards me I said I didn't do anything to you and he was like well let me look in your mouth so he put the mirror thing in my mouth and literally took him 1 second or 2 seconds to look at what was wrong and he tried to say it was another tooth that was in the bath that is decayed That has a little bit of infection but I went in there a couple weeks ago and they told me there was really not that much of a infection that it dont look like that tooth And they said I had a little infection where they pulled the tooth so they gave me antibiotics and I took the antybiotics and I'm still having pain so that's why I came back in well Said that my other tooth needed to be extracted because my insurance does not cover a root canal I think it's called but that is not where it's hurting that it's hurting where I got my tooth pulled on December *********'m making this report because the doctor **** It's very unprofessional and rude and disrespectful I mean I started balling and crying and And I felt like I was worthless and discriminated against the address of is ***********************************************************

I was a patient at CDA Willamette Dental for 14 years until August 31, 2021 when my insurance changed to ********** Dental. I had a final dental visit in Aug 2021 and was told that no more cavities were present and no work was needed. They clean teeth on a yearly basis so in keeping this schedule, when I was home from college in the summer of ************************************************* ****************** with my new insurance. I brought a copy of my previous dental records and was SHOCKED to hear that I had 21 cavities that needed filled including one needing a root canal. The dentist said these were clearly present ON the x-rays from Willamette. I decided to get a second opinion at a different dentist's office since this seemed extreme. The next dentist, who is now completing the work for me, confirmed this assessment but diagnosed it to be 22 cavities with 2 root canals. This is only 9 months after the visit from Willamette when they told me "no work needed". And my dentist said these caries are clearly present on their x-rays. I have written 3 letters explaining this to them and they are not willing to accept responsibility and have offered me $1200 to help with my co-pays but only if I sign a NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement). This issue is more than money to me, it is my permanent teeth. Please help me warn others. As a patient I trusted them for 14 years.

I have had a root canal, oral surgery and been to numerous "specialists" just to be in signifant pain. I want the tooth pulled I was told no. The "specialist" called and was confused why I was sent to their office and said my dentist would call me back. No call back. Went to the pharmacy that night to pick up my prescription and it was never called in. The on-call doc fixed it. The next day I never received a phone call. I called again; they never called back. I called 4-5 times from 12-27-1/3/2023. I had never received a call back. 1/2/2023 I talked to the receptionist about the pain. She said she would call back; send meds to the pharmacy. No call back. I called again 1/3/2023; the call center said no one was answering. About 2 hours passed and no call back so I called again. The call center said no answer and left the office a message. About an hour later the receptionist calls back and says that I cannot be scheduled until January 16th in ****** and they wouldn't prescribe anymore pain meds because it's against the law. I asked her what I was supposed to do, and she said take ibuprofen. I told her that I find it unfair that I asked numerous times to have the tooth removed and they refused (face swollen; pain and can't sleep) Now they treat me like I am a drug addict; make me wait weeks despite being told I would be seen 3 days later. She said would call me back by closing.....again no call back. They constantly make as many appointments as possible to "specialists" that are just regular dentists in order to collect insurance money. They will set up numerous follow up appointments for no reason when they can take care of it at that appointment. I have never been to a dentist that does this. To allow your patients to be in pain and not even call them back is NOT okay. I took 4 days off work last week because they promised an app. on Thursday and the tooth would be pulled that day. They made me lose hundreds of dollars, Numerous apps. gas money and time.

In June, 2022 I called Willamette Dental ******** to schedule an appointment for pain I was experiencing from my wisdom teeth. This issue has been going on for years with flare *** every few months. The flare up I experienced in June, 2022 was the worst one yet. I ended up having to reschedule the appointment sooner because I was in a lot of pain. Willamette gave a mouthwash and said to follow up in a few weeks if the pain did not stop. A few weeks later the pain was continuing so I scheduled another appointment. Willamette then gave a referral to an oral surgeon for bottom wisdom teeth removal. I explained to Willamette I was experiencing pain in the upper wisdom teeth as well and would like a referral for all wisdom teeth to discuss my options with the surgeon. They had me schedule another appointment which I did. I again explained the pain and was told I could have a referral for all wisdom teeth. I contacted the surgeon and they have not received the referral for all wisdom teeth despite a month passing since my appointment with Willamette. I would like Willamette to send my referral for all four teeth to my oral surgeon.

This company is interfering with my ability to get medical procedures covered by insurance because I made the mistake of just paying their bill as a courtesy to them.I had a biopsy because I was told it was urgent and if I went anywhere else Id have to wait months. They freaked me out and I felt forced to accept the procedure. I was explicitly assured that they would run this procedure through my medical insurance multiple times. When I heard nothing from them (neglect is a part of their standard operating procedure) I called and they laughed at me because they say they would never offer to run insurance, which is not what the dentist reassured me multiple times. Then they said they would get me the information needed for me to run this through my insurance and lied again because they still havent given me the information I need.To any consumer reading this: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS.

On 07/13/2022 I received a voicemail regarding my concern. Which is I have a retainers that was done by willamette dental, at the time of my visit I clearly stated I have a problem with my retainer, when I scheduled my dental appointment I clearly specified that I have a problem with my retainer. I go to my dental appointment and again I state I need assistance with my retainer. The dentist didnt seem to pay much attention to my concerns regarding my retainer. When I returned the call the representative was rude and not helpful, (when I scheduled my appointment I was told my chart was old and they were going to update my information including my last name) while I was talking to Thai representative she made me verify all my information as if she could not read the notes and proceeds to still make me verify even more information only for her to scold me and treat me rudely about changing my last name, and at the very end after she was satisfied abusing me verbally she then proceeds to tell me I see the notes that you changed your last name, she dis not apologized for her behavior them tells me I need to show them proof of my last name, why didnt she state this since the beginning, I get transferred only to en asked what is wrong with my braces, I do t have braces and once again I ah e to explain that my retainers are causing pain, its funny how the have notes hey no one reads anything to provide one with good care or service. I scheduled the appointment and only to be told that Id they do anything I have to pay ****** no one told me this at check in or even when scheduling the appointment they just wanted me to pay to get my trata I era removed I filed a complaint with willamette that very week and I still have not heard back. No one has bothered to help me with this issue or explain to me why I was not told about the charge, I only paid my copay to be told I have to pay ****** to get help. I would like to file a complaint about Willamette constant use of rescheduling. For example, using we scheduled you with the wrong dentist twice, and, finally, your dentist quit, so we will call to reschedule you after June 28th.I started this fiasco just before Christmas 2021. I went in for a routine cleaning but noticed a ache coming on. They x-rayed it and thought it might be one of my crowns that might have a cavity.Thats when the nightmare started. We scheduled a February appointment-but when I got there, the dentist had called in sick. Im pretty sure we verified address and phone when I went in for the cleaning. They gave me a new appointment.I later got a call because it was for the wrong provider and could I come Saturday. I said yes and then, long story later, I was scheduled out till the first part of April. When I finally got in, I had to call in to complain, but I didnt get in until the end of March. Meanwhile I had been on a regimen of ibuprofen and Tylenol to prevent abscess and pain. (It raised up my blood pressure too.)When I went, I told them it was not the tooth they had suspected but the one in front that had lost a filling. The dentist said the tooth had fractured after the filling had fallen out. (If I had had dental care soonermaybe this wouldnt have happened!) He pulled the tooth and then we scheduled an appointment for the tooth (June 15th) that needed a new crown and filling. I asked if insurance would cover the crown since I retire at the end of June. He said yes because it would be started before I retire.I am still waiting for an appointment with an unknown dentist. Thank you for any help you can give.***********************

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. However, I received a letter from ****** Services in ****** dated June 3rd stating they are looking into it and that I might need to be patient. I also received a phone call while I was teaching class at school and noticed it was Willamette. From past experience, I have learned that since they supposedly put me on the call first list, I need to answer or lose my chance. They had, in fact, called me a week earlier, and didnt leave a message, so I assumed they had called to get me in before my insurance ran out. I called back and there was no provider to assign me to. So, when I got a call from another rep when I was teaching, she said she could not give me an appointment until July or August and that, unfortunately, they couldnt get me in before my insurance ran out.

Then she proceeded to tell me to sign up for Cobra .. etc., and I told her to forget it. I hung up.

I am signing up for ******** right now and will be applying for supplemental dental insurance. But that doesnt excuse them for continually putting me off when the job could have been done before my insurance ran out. This is a large company. I had an appointment set for June 15 to take care of the original issue. Then I got a call that the provider had quit.

Anyway, Im not sure I would go back to them ever again anyway. Thank you.

      Sincerely,

Starting in March 2022 I tried scheduling a Orthodontic appointment for my daughter, they could not get her in until May 2022 for a consultation. At the Consultation they informed me that the Orthodontist is only present at the office a few days per month. When it came time to set further appointments for her braces to be put on they could not get her on his schedule until the end of July. She should have had braces on and working months ago. When I filled a complaint with them directly they brushed off my concerns and repeatedly patronized me and tried to claim that they had other earlier openings that had come available. I do not believe them because there has been zero attempt at contacting me to see if those so called openings would work for us.They also claimed that there assistants would be able to take care of any issues that happen to come up other then the brackets. I again do not believe this because all there assistants are to busy doing dental stuff to cover them because they don't have enough dentists in there office either for the number of clients they schedule. Also the majority of issues that happen with braces have to do with the brackets so we would have to wait who knows how long to get an appointment with the Orthodontist. The only way you can get service at there offices is if you have there insurance and if you have to change insurance for any reason you no longer can be seen by them, so then you would have to start all over again with a new provider. This is a horrible way to do business. My family will pay the extra to go somewhere we can be treated so much better and get the work done that we need done properly, and in a realistic time frame.

I went in there for a cleaning, asked what insurance networks are you in and they said modahealth. I got moda health dental and went back and they took my dental information and said everything was covered and I wouldnt owe anything out of pocket. They straight up lied because moda health denied my claim and said the provider is not in their network. Stay away from these people.
