My bike broke down on the freeway in September 2022. I had the bike towed to the nearest ****** repair shop which was D&S Harley Davidson. I had to leave the bike as a diagnostic could not be completed for another week. I live in ******, ****** which is a 3 Hour drive north. I was called just over a week later after the diagnostic was completed and told the balancer needed to be replaced. After they assured me, they had all the parts needed to complete the repair. I gave the go ahead. I was told at that time that it would take a week or possibly a week and a half, they would call me. After two weeks of no call, I called them. They told me that they had the bike disassembled and were putting it back together but a tool that they needed to put it back together broke. They were going to order the tool. They say they will call. Three weeks later I called him because of no call. They told me that the tool is on back order. its supposed to come in on November 22. I called back in mid December and I am told the tool is still on back order. This business NEVER gives status updates. Finally, early February I called and they tell me March 13. I called on March 15, 2023 because they dont call me like they said and I am told two of the tools came in. The thing is, I was third on the list! There are other ****** dealerships in and out of state. Couldnt this tool have been borrowed for a short period to complete this process? If this tool so important to complete the process, why dont they have a back up? at this time it is May 12, 2023 and my bike is still down there and they still do not have the tools needed to put my bike together.
