DOT: March 20, 2023 Pd: $1,159.20 Transaction: Eye exam and Prescription eyeglasses at EyeHealth Northwest in Portland.Subject: I want a refund.I had an eye exam and purchased progressive eyeglasses from Eye Health Northwest. During my initial fitting I could barely read the chart, and that hurt my eyes. I was told it would get better when my eyes adjusted to progressive lenses. I accepted their word and kept them. They gave me headaches and dizziness as well. I returned the glasses a few days later. I told them something was wrong. They accepted the glasses to have another pair made. More than three weeks later I received the glasses, and I was assured the there was nothing wrong with them and I just needed to give my eyes time to adjust. It seemed like nothing had changed. I still struggled to read, and I had to move my head up and down while holding my eyeglasses to a certain level to read. The associate insisted to give them a try, again claiming my eyes just needed to adjust to progressive lenses, because there is nothing wrong with the lens or the prescription. She said I can come back and exchange for a single vision lens if necessary. I tried for several months to adjust. I wore my old glasses during work and my new glasses after work.Finally, I went to a different eye clinic, had an eye exam, and had my eyeglasses checked. The doctor took a closer look of the eyeglasses and said: it looks like the lenses are inverted. He made new lenses for my frames using the exact same prescription. After a few weeks, they arrived and during my fitting they were perfect. I could easily read.Now knowing my lenses had been the problem I called *************** and asked for a refund. I was told no refund, insisting they had done everything they could for me. Reiterating my glasses and prescription were fine. Now claiming I was past the warranty date. Now I am offerred a 20% discount for new lenses. This is wrong. I was not delivered the product I paid for.
